its been quite a while since i updated my build, main reason is because its been winter and I've not done much to be honest. over the last few weeks though I've stripped the tyres off m banded steels for a fresh coat of powder and this week I've been getting on with my lovely SSR's ended up taking an angle grinder to the barrels as they were pretty corroded and the centres wudnt fit in anymore, massive thanks to matty for the help! I've also cleaned up the backs of the wheels as i felt they were gna let the wheels down, lots of elbow grease and a scotch bright pad they came up really nice. got the dremel out too to clean up some of the corrosion i cudnt get to, they just need a quick polish and then i can bolt them back together, just need tyres and some sunny weather n they should be on the polo once more heres a few piks to wet you are apitite

SSRs are nearly done, awaiting tyres, hopefully arrive tomorow. gave the lips a buff up as they had gone dull and a few 'milky' patches, first i tried a patch with autosol but soon found out it was way too abrasive and left scratches, id heard that meguires metal polish was good so went and got myself a pot, my god i wasnt dissapointed, that stuff is the shit! i used autosol on stubbourn bits and then buffed with megs, even I'm impressed how good of a jab I've done :) heres the piks

after polishing i gave them a coat of pourboys rim wax and bolted them together, many thanks to matty again for torquing them up for me :)

i cant wait to put them on :)

is it legal with you plate being there?

probs not legal as such but its on display, worst id get would be a fine, I've put it on the grill now tho as i had an mot the other week, it would of failed if not... it will be back off for shows/club meets. just need to get the recess smoothed on the bumper but its hardly noticable tbh.

thank you, they are pretty rare i belive, I've only ever seen 1 other set in 15" and one set in 14's jap wheels FTW :)

SSRs are finally on after about 2years of being off the road, ill let the pik do the talking, this pik was taken at spring fest, had a great day, i entered show and shine/girlz n dubz, missed the judging so I'm waiting to see if the post man brings me anything

thanks :) the wheels never came with center caps so i had these made i quite like them tbh
