Spot checks galore in my saxo.

In my mk3: once for undertaking for accident prevention reasons (unmarked copper following me almost went up the other cars arse) after a car changed lanes in front of me on an empty dual carriage way, so ended up with a section 59 instead of a speeding fine.

Now I get pulled every time I pass a traffic car as it flashes up on their computer. Runs out on the 1st of April.

Forgot got pulled in as my car was too loud and i had to get an MOT garage to vouch that it was a standard polo exhaust in good condition.

only once and it was a general stop

Loads of times lol.

7 i can think of-

1. Speeding

2. Speeding

3. Car being too loud

4. Routine alcohol test

5. Numberplates

6. Numberplates

7. Insurance, licence etc check

Got pulled on my scooter for doing 40 in a 30 by a woman in a beemer, she was a proper moody cow. Give me a warning thing and put me on the database and said if I get pulled for anything again I will get my scooter/bike/car taken off me

Got pulled, '50 in a 30', he let me off as he said scooters dont normally get pulled for speeding, i only got dont for the plate, £30..

Memories.......

Scooters FTW! All together I saw my mates fall of theirs 4 times, was funny as! I didnt fall off mine luckily.

Cops round by me dont seem to pull over people just to do checks, their just grumpy tw*ts when they do pull you over

pulled twice in my 6n for shmokin :smoke:

they just confiscated goods and sent me on my way

 I saw him in the distance, got gone, really going for it around this estate through speedbumps etc.. looked back and he was right there!

3 times, once in my beetle for nailing it out of a junction 'too loud in a residential area' Sound copper :)

Twice in my mk3 once for going really really slow like 5mph at bout 2 in the morning pissing my mate behind me off, they thought i was pissed. Same coppers, didnt recognise me and i wasnt gonna say anything

Once for following my mate over a roundabout a bit fast, didnt pull him....just me :( Classic good-cop bad-cop, one wasz a good guy, the other was a right powerhead! This was also at about 2.30 am *so not driving like a nob in the day ;)*

Lost count of how many times...one thats sticks in my mind is i got chased by a bunch of yobs on a friday nite jumped in my car drove off, police where 30 foot down the road ad pulled me for no seat belt!! they couldnt understand why i was pissed off !!!

but i used to have a clio and 106 and i look about 12 so get pulled over willy nilly...not too bad now, fuzz in mk pretty sound followyou ANP your car then drive off!

1. Citroen ZX - had fog lights on

2. Polo - was on a 4x4 course illegally

3. Polo - german plates and blue sidelights

4. Polo - brake light out

5. Polo - looked like I was doing drugs

6. Polo - undertook a police car using a bus lane

Been pulled a few times for random checks, also get pulled at every single one of them insurance things where they make you pull in further down the road (where theres about 20 coppers), but never been fined for anything etc.

Most recently was about 6 weeks ago on my way home from a night out, he pulled me over, i sat in the car waiting for him, he flashed me and said get in his car instead (it was raining so he wouldn't get out), anyway, he basically just asked if i'd been drink driving etc, checked my lisence and let me go. :)

He was parked on a side street so he saw me drive past running no front plate either :D

Drove passed a lot of coppers with no front plate and never had any hassle, i don't get it, not that i'm complaining :D.

I went 2 years without ever getting pulled then i got pulled 4 times in 1 month.

1) Non-reflective rear lights. Which is fair enough.

2) Breath test. Apparently i was straddling the white line.

3) random spot check.

4) Passenger not wearing a seatbelt :tear: Luckily he got the fine and not me :-)

As others have said, be polite to them and there normally fine and unless you have done something truely illegal, then they will just send you on your way.

only the once and i want driving

on my way back from picking up my accident dammaged mk2 golf gti 16v on a tralor a trafic car went passed and them pulled over and came back out behind us and pulled us,

i wound down the wind and he said 'your not scrapping you golf are you'

i was like no I've just bought it

he was like oh ok i wanted a front bumper i better let you get on your way have a good day

when he walked off we all just laughed

oh and the scooter thing

i never got pulled and mine was a 75mph beast but looked like a stadad yamaha aerox

i got pulled in my matt black mk3 gt while racing back from work one night about 12.15 as i was on a promise from the misses. i explained my situation, he checked the car was legel then told me to change one of my wheels as it was an odd size to the other 3 and sent me on my way. he was a pritty sound chap tbh.

i got pulled again in it a month or so later (the car was in a slightly worse state this time tho lol). they pulled me cause they said i took a quick turn when i saw them - in fact i was going that way any way and hadn't even seen them i was just in a rush - they started asking why i had no front bumper and why i was driving a car with the bonnet tied on with rope. after giving me some bullshit about the car shouldn't be on the road and accusing me of being banned then finding out it was a dvla cock up they let me go... not before having to give me a push to get it started :finger:

not been pulled in the 20 months since then which is pritty impressive with all the sheds i've had lol.

once for aparently speeding by community support officers...wtfbbq

they said do you know what speed you were duin

i said no

they said 50

i said prove it

they looked at my license n sent me on my way

Scooters suck balls! Chavtastic!

Anyway, I got pulled once, 45 in a 30. It was bonfire night last year and I had a big pair of steel toecapped wellies on (on my way to a bonfire) When the copper asked why I was driving too fast I apologised, showed him my wellies and told him its hard to drive in them. He was totally sound.

1. Vauxhall Nova SR. Pulled to check on any modifications.

2. 2 day old Mini One D pulled over at 2.45am for speeding. (wasnt even my car)

3. Vauxhall Astra. Speeding and going the wrong way round a mini roundabout at 3am.

4. Vauxhall Astra. Speeding.

5. Mk1 Caddy diesel. Speeding.

6. G40. Speeding through a red light on Wandsworth one way system. (when the copper finally pulled me over he couldnt stop laughing cos he couldnt keep up in his Transit)

7. Audi S2. Police thought I had nicked it.

8. Evo. Police wanted to breathalise me.

With regards to the speeding ones they were all in the middle of the night going down country lanes. I'm sure I have missed a couple out but I cant for the life of me remember them. The police round my way love to pull younger people over cos theres a lot of pikeys round here.

1. In my Clio had a light out

2. In my Clio with a full car going through a pikey town at around 3am

3. In my 6N for a routine check and they said I had been driving 'erratically', I was trying to dodge endless amounts of potholes cos of the shitty state of our roads around here!

4. In my GT because it was apparently suspicious that I was 15 miles from where the car is registered as I was doing christmas shopping in Reading. I just think they wanted something to do tbh

5. In my GT for having a light out

Once for having a light out, didnt even bother about askin me about insurance, Mot etc...

As far as I know, They have most of this on a system database - They'd know if you were not legit before even talking to you'

most of the times I've been had is because of being (AND I QUOTE!) "in a battered old car with young lads"

cheek of some people

I passed my test in March 1997 and since that time I've been pulled for a routine check late at night in a dodgy area by an unmarked ST220, and that was about 4-5 years ago.

Twice, once for speeding and the other was a routine check but apparently I was approaching a junction too fast, his reason was because the back was lifting up as I was braking..total rubbish, nose down FTW

Once for apparently stealing my own car. I was going bmx'ing and just got it out my car and police pulled up and asked if it was my car. Showed them my keys and that but still wouldn't believe me. Ended up checking my insurance to find out that I apparently wasn't insured (I was) so nearly went to court over that and eventually got an apology letter

Another time on the motorway for having a dirty numberplate during winter after driving a couple hundred miles on the motorway and was nearly home.

Not so much pulled but nearly hit some police, was about half 2 in the morning going through a country lane over a blind hill. Was going below the limit so they just checked details and just told me to slow down abit cos they shat themselves

Once for speeding which is fair enough.

and a couple other times, can't remember what for though.

luckily i have only been pulled once in my car.... it was few weekends ago was about half 2 in morning need i came off a roundabout at like 50 need a t5 came other way he spun round need followed me after scraping my way over several speed bumps he asked me why i was traveling so fast.... stupidly i said i came off the round about at that speed .... DOH!! he then started going on about where my wheels are from need that if i wanted to keep a clean license i best slow down ....

and once wen parked up i got asked where my plate was....... i took it off wen cleaning the car left it off then 2 hours later car was dirty need he didnt beleive it had "fell off" in the pressue washer lol

I got pulled over for driving!!!! "evening... I've noticed you've been driving...." my answer was "yep" didn't go down well... he was a knob...
