yeah good job, going the garage to get the head gasket changed on wed so we'll be running strong!

How was the coolant level when you got back, did it dip at all?

it had dipped slightly, but not much, waiting till today because it had pressurised

car went into the garage wednesday and we now have a fresh head gasket, more new oil and another filter change , , anyway my petrol cap had rusted and bubbled quite badly, really odd because there is no rust around the filler cap on the bidy work what so ever. Stripped it today and going to repaint,

just needs lacquering. The colour the company sent me did not match the car and had not been mixed correctly so i just stook with the primer colour. Matches the car better anyway. but most importantly its all rust free!

couple pics with petrol cap and general pics

got a few parts from ultimate dubs-

battery cut off

vent for front wing, number plate surrounds,

yet to fit any plus:

front lower strut brace (after sprayed)

two front wheel bearings

new springs

switch light

stripped and painted the lower brace ready for painting red,

got a mk4 rocker cover, got as much of the gunk off as i could, stripped it ready for painting. Plans are that the middle band on the top will be polished, the rest black with red pinstripes running down the side of the polished middle.

got two new tyres and front wheel bearing fitted too.... more £££

What boss kit did you get? And do all mountney boos kits fit all off there steering wheels?

its a mountney boss kit, and i presume they fit all the standard aftermarket wheels, i know they dome some 3 bolt wheels that take other bosses, but 99% of the wheels you buy will fit

Loving this car, one of my fave Mk3 Coupes, just got a nice motorsport vibe to it
