Push the case through the police, get him charged, take him to a civil court and get a few grand in compensation for the injury and get him jail time for battery (GBH to be specific if he caused the injuries you stated I'm a law student :))

I think thats a really shitty post. Hidden strength? dont forget that this bloke clearly dosent give two shits about you, your car, or your family. And for some unknown reason this guy is wound up to the nines. To be honest the best thing to do in that situation was probably what this kids dad did, anything could have happened if both sides kicked off, Treat with extreme caution, there are some really shitty people out there (and 80% of em drive beemers lol). Trying to be positive here. The wing is a bolt on panel which is easily replaceable, and the rear quarter could be pushed out from the inside and given a small skim of filler to make right. I know this is little in the grand scheme of things, however.

yes as i said before they sent one wpc and the ambulance got there after the police got there

and yes they did take statements from me and my mum but as my dad had to go to hospital we are now waiting for the police to call us

but i can't do it on my own

Surely the police officer would arresst him and not just take a statement from you and your mother. If all of this is true, it shows how sh*t the police force is in Britain

sounds like some bad shiz, the insurance would deffo write it off, but as the bmw driver caused it and was clearly demented you should be able to claim off of his insurance and demand that they repair the car. if they wont repair, i wouldnt bother going through insurance, the wings only bolt on and can be swapped out in an hour and the dent in the rear quater could be easilly repaired

I'm a cop and from what the opening poster said I can't believe that if the offender for a GBH was present at the scene when the police turned up then he wouldn't have been arrested, which leads me to think that either the BMW driver had disappeared by the time the cop turned up or that we haven't got the full version of events in the opening post. Where was the BMW driver while BSJ1 and his mum were giving statements?
