id give a lawyer a call if i was you, or some sort of personal injusry place. They would be rubbing their hands at a case like this.

should i get the ball rolling before my insurance company sort there end out

yes- i cannot stress how urgent it is that you get the 'ball rolling' on this!

You need a lawyer to tell you exactly how to go about prosecuting the guy for beating up your dad.

Your insurance is interested in the car- and thats all they will do anything about. And to be fair that is probably gonna be a case of a person at a desk looking at the age, going- 'its an old car.. write it off'. They dont give a toss about the guy jumping your dad and breaking his leg. You want to just forget about the car tho, its the least of your worries.

You wanna focus on getting the guy charged for what he did to your dad- your insurance and their legal team wont do that. You need your own lawyer to do this for you.

Ask them if you can do it at your local station and get them to fax it over, when I got scammed on here I had to give a statment to Derbyshire police when I'm in south Wales, they said to do it at my local station and get them to fax it over so I rang up my local station and an officer came to my house to get the statment to save me going down my local station

they wont let us do that

they say we have to go down to Devon we've ask time and time again if we can do it at are local police station and they say we can't do it here as it happened down there so that where we have to give are statements

sounds like they are trying to fob you off.

I know it will cost you, but i would go on principle.

the popo are a wasted of time

and it sounds like the insurance are going to say its a 50 50 so thats me fucked

You should never carry a tool in your car " to use as a weapon"

as it would only escallate things and a cloat around the head with a bar REMEBER WILL KILL someone, if your are stopped by the police you will be in serious trouble if you are obviously "tooled up"

If you carry a bar for shelf defence and you kill someone you will be in prison for life, If someone is agressive call the police and just back off.

To many stupid murders in this country, and excessive violence people should respect other people.

The BMW driver shoudl be locked up for what he did. Punched someone over a stupid car dent, then broke his leg he is nuts and should be off the streets.

Everyone shoudl respect others right to life without being beaten!

With regard to the polo you can pull the panels out and get a body shop to respray. If the insurance right off you should be able to buy back as it will only be not economic write off so your payout would pay for the paint if you pulled and prepped the panels.

Thanks i didn't have any tools in the polo not even a screwdriver :-(

and yes there's to mean people getting killed for stupid reasons

and the BMW driver got a lot of fhony witness so all hes getting for it is a coercion :x and so is my dad :?

and the polo was insured TPFT so i'll get sweet fuck all for it

which is a pain in the arses as i was going to use the money i get from the insurance to fix it

unfortunatly i think it just one of them bad situation you cannot win.

Cut your losses, buy a new car, and chance are you will go the rest of your life without ever seeing the bmw driver again.

Its not nice.. but its sometimes all you can do.

this just about sums up the legal system, fookin bollocks!
