Hi mate, well the car is at is now is a rite off so you wont be able to fix it, you would be just buying it for the parts on it.

Still has the engine and box which has done 47,000 miles and the box has just had the 4 main bearings replaced, it only needed one but my brother works for vw s while it was out he changed all four and the box is running like a dream, waterpump and timing belt was changed 5,000 miles ago.

Then there is still the full gti interior in it and the braking system, dash, clocks etc all other stuff that could be sold.

So to cover what i would get for the car if i was breaking it i would be after £2000 cause that is what i would get for the parts.

If your just looking the engine and box and all the anncilliaries for it it £1300

oh aye no would like to use the back axle for a drum conversion. my polo is the 1.4 16v model i have the usual full stainless sports cat 4 branch bigger leads and plugs and bits and bobs done, just got my gear box back from being rbuilt. but i was told the my gear box was either very similar or the same as the gti's i was looking the engine to make just really cause i shuld be able to get away with my own ecu not too sure. is the back axle in good nick? and i could probly use all the engine accessories off my 1.4

If your going to take the engine you will need the wiring loom and then you will need the ecu to match up with the loom, and all the manifolds and sensors will be different on the gti so you will need them and possibly the engine mountings and the front pipe will prob be different so you will need the exhaust system.

Give me a list of exactly what you want??

i can fabricate the exaust manifold in work so the exaust system is np. how much are you looking for the loom the ecu, complete engine and the complete rear axle with rear calipers?
