Hey all some updates

Got her back from the body shop yesterday, and with a few complications with the side strips... dont ask, i decided to do something a lil different and treated my schmidts to a lick of paint :) wanted to break the silver up a bit more and add a pesonal touch to the car.

In addition, every panel had a good going over, getting rid of any dents or scratches. Had my splitter smoothed colour coded and fitted and also had it lowerd more at the front and back :) still looking to go lower.. I've become obsessed with ride height these pass couple of months!

Anyway, bit of a rant i know, upset i couldnt make UD today as i had to go back to uni. But thought i would take a few picks.

All comments welcome

Oh and with any luck the boot handle should be going next weekend to completely finish off the rear.

Interior to follow shortly... any suggestions would be great! :)

The front end looks awesome....!! Looks nice and low aswel

Is smoothing the front bumper a massive job??

hmm doesn't look right for some reason.

Colour doesn't look completely matched or something.

Front bumper looks a bit weird around where the bumpstrips were removed?

Thanks for your comment man :)

i still think it can go lower.. but yhhh the harderest part with the front bumper is the plate recess. Thats what my body shop guy said. am a touch angry about a couple of the front end shots as i forgot to rub off some of the tea cut before the shoot!lol

hi, i have vw polo 2001 aswel,i was wondering where you got your front splitter from?? and how did you manage to take off your vw badge from the boot???

It looks so much smoother without the fogs! nice job!

hey! i got mine direct from VW, as i couldn be botherd looking around any more websites trying to get it a few quid cheaper!lol

As for the badge on the boot, it's not to hard. The badge comes off quite easily, however you have to fill and smooth the recess behind it. make sure you get someone who knows what there doing to do it!

Hope this helps buddy

Quick update.. BMC induction kit has now gone, as i was getting a funny smell and leaking in the engine bay :(

I've decided to go back to the standard VW air box for the moment with an uprated cold air feed. (nothing exciting).

maybe go for k&N panel filters??

Anyway, i decided to drop it more at the front on sunday. definately more of a nose down stance.

didnt get a chance for any picks but will update Friday!

did you put a oil breather on? when you fitter the bmc

we might be getting hold of a arch rolling tool soon so you may be able to even more of a sick stance

hey mate! yhhh I'm going to take some new picks tonight as it's sitting quite a bit lower at the front, and maybe a engine snap of my mighty STOCK 1.4 8v

But next week i will have my boot handle smoothed and solenoid fitted (hoepfully) a few other touch up's here and there, oh and getting my front bumper done again because of a few scratches, oh and having my bonnet fully sprayed due to so many scratches..

oh and as for the splitter, i have heard its a pain in the arse to fit. i got my mate who does all my body work to fit it and he said it was'nt much fun. He said he just had to keep playing with it until it was right... not sure if thats any help man lol

but yhh would be good to see your ride! :)

Just a few snappys now its lower at the front and a cheeky pick of my beast under the bonnet!
