ok quick update...car is now back on the road after some ridiculous insurance issues..

but have fitted a mk4 interior mirror which looks a thousands times better then my 6n2 item

wheels no longer for sale...no updates until after christmas

i wish mate!! i really do. but my plans are to attack the interior next year still havnt picked a colour but...if i can get my interior up to scratch and keep my body work looking tip top i will be over the moon....then i will do a big make over in the bay...

I'm in no hurry to get this project finished as i plan to keep and enjoy this car for a few more years. just doing it bit by bit :)

haha mate I've stopped the tequilla in the eye now! :p

but now, I'm save save save. want my car up to scratch next show season...maybe just maybe let people know that there is more to vdub shows then golfs

i know whatever you do it would have been done before soemwhere in the scene, but lime will always be known in that mkII....

just a thought, just dont let it verge on the edge of becoming too try hard/chavvy inside

i totally think you need to decide 1st on wether your going to go subtle, factory 'normal' colours [red, brown, cream, grey, dark purple etc' or if your going to want to go for in your face eg babz style [lime, cyan, pink, bright purple etc]

the second choice got babz the recognition he deserves & his polo will always been remembered. its wether or not you want that kind of reaction & 'scene fame' haha or if you want to have the interior for yourself to enjoy......

ok nothing too specail but a quick list of things to do over the Christmas holidays:

Exterior:

Re-smooth roof

Re-roll left rear arch/front right

Respray front splitter (6th time)

Maybe buy another splitter for shows…

Interior:

Gloss black centre console

Fit momo 280mm wheel

Fit gloss black rear upper Strut brace

Engine bay:

Gloss black engine cover

Finish painting the rest of the gear box, block etc

Polish manifold cover

replace any rusty bolts etc full detail basicly

Wheels:

Refurbish OZ turbos-lips (flat spots etc)

Replace bolts

you gay boy!! you know how much i worked over the summer. everyday without fail 8-4. that was supposed to be my chilled summer time!lol

going to work just as much next year to pay for retrim

ok nothing major to update, but had a free day at home, and had some autosol arrive through the post, so i thought i would get my polish on :)

polished the manifold cover and a couple of other little things in the engine bay and all have come up a treat! still a bit scared to try it out on the turbos however...

will get a pic up of my engine bay in a couple of weeks when I've finished detailing and the engine cover is done.

but autosol FTW!!
