i would love to do that. and its a good idea...still around 5k tho.

but i think its the best option maybe...i no guys who get 200bhp from it and run it daily...so it can be done

A 1.8T will be around the same!

I'd rather have the supercharged engine, because atleast the engine itself is designed for the car!

Oh and get your arse online!

I'm not disagreeing but... i'd prefer an engine which was designed with forced induction in mind rather than converting a NA engine to forced.

Thought about Throttle bodies, set of cams, 4-2-1 mani etc on a GTI block??? I would of thought that would release near to 180bhp (that is a rough guess!).

Saying that I want something charged next probably in the form of an R32 so that is a complete contradiction to what I said above!

hahha you joker steve!! well next year I'm focusing on the interior. if i can have the interior and exterior all done by ed38 i will be happy.

then maybe next winter...will be engine conversion...or new car.....will have to see man

yepp did indeed, then cleaned all the hoses, painted gearbox, engine mounts, alternator etc, then polished the manifold cover and the ring thingy at the front...getting there slowly mate. will be all finished in a couple of weeks. i think maybe a nice polished strut brace would finish it off

ye must say yours is a fine example! i really do think them OZ's suit a silver 6n2 to the ground... (after haris's green one of course).

how do you get the wheels in the arch so deep... are you cambering them, or is it a case of 7's x 15's and arch rolling? I'm having problems with mine now and the same gap from the arch the the tyre as it is on yours from the lip to the arch..

well there 7.5s all round, no spacers at the front, 15mm spacers at the rear. doesnt scrub at all. all arches have been rolled aout 3-4mm and I'm running a 165 tyre which gives more clearance on the inner lip.

so combination of wheel width, tyre size and arches lol

spacing the fronts out 5mm when the turbos go back on as i think theres to much tuck up front
