Snow Fall!

Featured Replies

Not really affected me, steering is very light which doesn't help as I'm still getting used to my momo 280mm wheel. Splitter is acting like a bulldozer and dragging snow lol.

Uni was meant to shut at 12 today but I was only in until 11 so don't benefit from it :(

Actually it didn't close until 5pm (we all got an email) - that doesn't stop the stooodents from starting a rumour (that they all then believe) that it's closed at 12!! Any excuse to get out of lectures, eh?

And I'm afraid they're planning on being open tomorrow unless the local radio says otherwise. So we'll all have to endure BRM-bloody-B listening out for an announcement. :(

there was barely anything where i live, although i am about 100m from the sea,

good news was my school was still cancelled !! RESULT !!

Its gonna affect someone tomorrow if they want to go anywhere here lol

Just looked out my window at halls and someone has put big snow boulders around someones car, no chance of gettin that moved anytime soon!

Some randoms of the polo.

This is where standard ride height is useful, I don't want to be a snow plough.

This morning...

i hate this weather lost the front end went into a curb, damaged my rim and bent my steering. and got no cash to get it fixed cus last week water pump went :crybaby:

I've never wanted narrower wheels so much in my life EVER until today, nearly lost it several times on the way home and that was at a crawl!

My wheels just seem to sit on top of the snow and these Falken tyres seem poo in the snow compared to my old Toyo Proxes.

one observation av made, is that its always women that drive too fast thinking that the snow wont affect there cars

there always the ones tailgating

speeding

overtaking

had loads 2day while taking care on the roads

shocking tbh

Be careful on the A3 guys.. just got off it. People have made paths in the snow to drive but either dies of the middle lane is chocca with snow.. I was skidding everywhere :(

still not alot round here so took a jolly with the other half to the seaside (day off work - holiday :-)) and managed to find a grass field car park to practice being silly! Even managed to own the carpark at Sandringham house (sorry your majesty! lmao)

Was quite comical watching a father pull his son around the carpark on a sledge with his bmw!

I'm jealous of you Sammo. If i had that much snow, i could switch my alarm off as work would be definately cancelled!

I've been sledgin all day lol was top banter :)

i woke up with like 8 txts sayin colege was canceled which was brilliant i thought ok bit of drifting thn wnt down stairs to get the keys and go out and dad had nicked them and left the house as i would be too dangerous on the roads hed decided it aint worth going out in snow with 3rd party insurance as u dnt get anythin which was fair enuf hopefully he will do it more often like every day then i wnt have to do out again lol :)

o in southampton we have got about a gd 4-5 inches

its still not stopped here :D, up to about 6 or 7 inches in the back gerden now :):), in the bits the young 'un hasnt got to yet :doubt:

snow drifting ftw, wide tyres FTL

Had so much fun with the handbrake today lol.

Winter steels do have other uses than keeping the mint ones mint :p

And me, I'll get pics up tonight :-p

s'all gone / going here now :(

OH yeh i now love my 175/65/13 tyres !!!

Was ok driving today and yesterday. But last night was good fun - all I'm going to say is large car park covered in vigin snow + Handbrake and a little opposite lock = :D :D :D :D :D

all i have left to deal with is the icy ridges on the road which ping you all over the place! Pretty dicey coming down my road last night!

The guy i work with aint bothered by the snow. He's Polish so hes used to 2ft deep snow! I'd like to see him go drifting in tha!
