My '88 Coupe S

Featured Replies

Found this excellent example for a tidy sum of £300

1989 F-reg Coupe S

53,000 miles

Rims were £10 and after a lot of hard work (not by me, thank you Nig once again)

Many more additions to come...

I think I prefer the teardrops as well but a lot of money has been spent on the others.

I have plenty of plans but I need to sort a few things out to pass its MOT first. Got 101 things I want to do but dont know where to start, open to suggestions anyone?

your doing well with the bargain hunting £300 for the car and £50 for the rims

i like the colour and i like the new rims you got

what style are you going for ? i think less is best with the mk2s

I want to keep it as original as possible on the outside. Would like to alter the engine or replace it depending on what I can find, the interior can stay the same altho I would like some recaros from the same year.

I like what your doing with yours. Have you changed much on yours?

No my loon is all standard bar the rims. they're of a mk2 jetta that i'm working on. I've sold my b-van to my dad but looking it back as i've got some ideas for it . I'd love one with a bigger engine but i'd need to buy one with it in or get someone to do the work for me as i've very little mechanical knowledge.

nice wheels ;)

I like the wheels too, though i wonder if they'd look better with some rear discs. And i dont always. Bit of a Japanese fast road style Minilite alternative.

Clean, basic mini muscle car thing going on,very mk2 sport,my cup of tea indeed.

New items to be fitted today/have been purchased - clear indicators front and side, glovebox and other small bits of trim all courtesy of polopete

still on the hunt for a new or refurbed rocker cover as mine does not look in great shape and also the possibility of a stability bar
