Well, I'll have to get a drill bit then, but I didn't have one handy at the time so I just used the hot glue gun. If or when it comes off I'll just drill the holes. Besides, the boot is easy to take apart so I'm not bothered if it falls off. The hardest part was wiring the remote locking unit and taking apart half the interior to run the cable for the boot motor.
