Thought you might be

I sold the car & the car was priced fairly... I wasn´t cheap by any standards & the reality is, i had the car for sale for 4/5 months & the only person to make an offer was Rachel...

I had the car priced at 1100 pounds & i had to drop it fractionally to secure the sale...

If the car was so chuffin´cheap, why did´nt anyone buy it...

Rach can be happy knowing that she bagged a completely original, low mileage almost mint VW Derby for 1000...

The car's gone to a good home though - a fair price for a unique model in my mind. I think you'll always find people on these forums that want everything but in reality can't afford to actually buy anything either - talk is cheap (imho). I've been very annoyed by the same thing on a smaller scale...

I guess the main point is that you won't see it being ragged around wearing flat black paint, rather it will improve to the point that it's likely to become one of the UK's best original MK1 saloons and Rach will cossett it as the original keepers have.

It's great to hear from you, hope all is going well! I absolutly love the car to pieces, i'm so glad i found it. I am very surprised i was the only person to make you an offer, such a beautiful car i thought i would have to fight people off with a big stick

You may of noticed that bit of rust on the drivers wing has been sorted already. Next is to paint the front valance and get the wheels powder coated, it's going to look sweet!

I totally agree with you Vic, i would never dream of ragging it around or changing the paint. And i can always hope that one day it might be one of the finest standard derby's in the uk, that's what i'll be aiming for. No short cuts or mistakes that have been made on my other 2, everything will be done right and to a high standard so it lasts :-D

Thanks for the kind words Rach & Euro...

I´m Glad that the car went to Rachel as i know she will take care of it & cherish it...

I´m currently in Lanzarote on my way to Africa... If i see any Derby Parts, i´ll let you know!!!
