Featured Replies

  • My 6N2 on 17s : Now, YOU judge! MY opinion is that 17s are MUCH cooler than 15s!

I think a few of you are forgetting he did not ask for an oppinion on whether they will look good or not. He just asked how low he can go etc

some of you lot are proper wankers imo.

how low was the estate before you sold it? and how low is that 6n2, cos they both look nice on 17's. I suspect there will be some arch work to be donme as well?

ignore the haters... (unless you are planning lexus lights- and then you need to listen to the haters!)

If everyone slammed 6n's and 6n2's bbs rs ones, wouldnt the vw scene be a boring place to be? Being different is called making progress, and thats coming from a fan of the classic slammed on bbs' look!

So take it easy on the guy people, he just wants to know if his car will scrub, not if it will look good at the next show n shine!

to be honest i thought that a 6n/6n2 would look gash with 17's and a complete no-go...but seeing Stambo's car has changed my mind, that car is absolutely stunning!!! i may have just sex-weed a little bit tho :(

I do find it slightly amusing how there are some things here like " 17 inch wheels" and " 6 x 9's "

That just seem to provoke a very strange reaction of complete dismissal. Fair dos some may not like the large wheels, and I'm sure they do nothing for comfort and handling and knacker your car, but surely cars on 13 inch wheels that are 120mm down have a similar effect.

People who modify cars are already sneered at enough by those that dont understand the point of it altogether.

P.S.....Lexus lights dont count.... they are just hideous

If you have a soft uspension set up then you will have alot of scrubbing issues and id recomend a narrow tyre. My advice sort the suspension, get it nice and stiff on coilovers and lower the car with the wheels you already have, then see what size wheels will fill the arches better without making the car stand too tall like a tractor. My brother has lowered his polo about 100mm on 14" 16v wheels and he gets some rubbing with fat birds (or me) in the back!!! lol

i prefer the smaller wheel look on polo's with streched tyres, but maybe try some porsche 16" rims with hub adapters!!!

my 2 pence worth
