Switched to a matt black bonnet yesterday, just a change from those stickers for a bit. Need to buy another can and go over the bonnet again, but here it is atm:

i didn't think i'd be keen on it but in all fairness i think it looks ok, shall do for now!

Me and my mate took a cruise down to the VW Jamboree in Cornwall with the rest of the buyz, camped for the weekend, was a good show!

Plently of nice cars, managed to pick up something nice for mine too

Saw these, the exact wheels i've been looking for! Set of 5 with 4 centre caps, would look ok cleaned up atm but gonna give them a refurb, unsure how to paint them though, i'm trying to decide between white with black centre caps or a dark grey kind of colour and black centres. Any other ideas?

Set to the wheels today, took 4 - 5 hours in all but I'm pretty happy with the result! i'll let the pics do the talking:

Gotta get them all balanced and swap the tyres, so probably wont be on for another week til i get paid.

But.. right chufty with my first half decent set of wheels! Although the steelies shall always have a place in my heart

yep, gonna have to keep on top of them but it'll be alright.

they're exactly the same as the steels so I'm gonna swap the tyres over, 185/50's

i'll get the weights on the inside when they get balanced too, so they still look fresh :p

cheers mate they're old Audi 80 wheels (4x100 stud pattern) and i think they're a bargain cos they go for a reasonable price!

i came out of my mates house in the early hours of yesterday morning, to find my passenger quarter window with a hole in it and all my bits n bobs scattered over the floor of the car, bags of pennies i had bagged up gone from the glove box and (after searching everywhere frantically cos i didnt know if it was in the car) my wallet :(

I replaced the window with the one from the GT but it's still a pisstake, second time the car's been broken into!

The GT will see the road again aha I'm saving money from work atm to get it resprayed then it'll be being built back up gradually, it'll be a while but will be worth it!

Cheers man! I know i was hoping someone had a camera on their house or something and caught it, but its all student accommodation where it was parked so not much chance of that! :(

Had low tread on the front tyres, and found a nail in one of the rears so swapped to the steelies as I'm using the car for work and its cheaper than buying new tyres.

Felt a bit sorry for it having to go back to steels so treated the engine to a Mk3 Golf elbow and mushroom filter i got given. This however was NOT a straight fit as everyone seems to say, had to cut some of the plastic away so it would slot on properly.
