Wow.

What brings you to club polo then, if you've got a caddy?

Previously owned a polo?

started n the drivers side floor to strenghern it up so first removed the old channeling

4t9d08.jpg

then made a new one with nice thick steel

4gqfs7.jpg

wqoksi.jpg

welded that on and cut the other rottern part out ready for some thicker steel

2d8m0t4.jpg

added a another plate

n368o5.jpg

then added the thicker one to strenghern the floor and chassi mount up ,

29416w6.jpg

then did a few flooor patchers ,, thinking about it i wish id just cut the complete floor out instead lol ,, but a bit late na

kexe88.jpg

then thought check for a few bits to sort around the body ,

2s6qx5k.jpg

finished off the rear quarter ,too

bg7blk.jpg

few holes welded up

xnakwy.jpg

then finshed weldeing the bottom door corners

so decied to remove all the underneath underseal , stressfull ,lol

2utmd0o.jpg

which found a few more holes lol twating vws lol

1z6uk37.jpg

15prin4.jpg

then decied to do all the under archers and got a bit carried away with the grinder and polished the coilover leg up ,, god knows what i was thinking lol

jhg6xe.jpg

makes things look rather tidyer then rusty steel and welds showing

b7lxjb.jpg

same with the rears too

then welded the old truckman holes up and a tad a spray to stop rust until a later stage

k4uu5e.jpg

then again i had to make a small spacer for the coilovers ,because with runing bigger mk4 cv jonts there were catching on the cv rubbers , so alterd the holes and made the spacer and welded it in ,so when heavy braking is needed the suspension leg carnt drop ,,and cause any problems , then gave it a clean up ,,

2cde3gh.jpg

then as it was getting dark ish , thought id give the calipares a quick goinging over lol

from this

2uijknd.jpg

to this

13z1opv.jpg

my paint then tbh honst ,,

LEE

nice one lee may shine them up at a later stage

right had a few hours free so thought id start on the dash

first rip it out

2ylqw6a.jpg

then make a few strenghing bars

2ic3cjq.jpg

i wasnt sure were u mount the dash too above or below the window rubber

143q97q.jpg

got best i could looks ok , but any idea i do with the side window covers as theres a gap ,

w14uw2.jpg

but its fitted ,and pref the black dash to grey ,, still was a bit tight on the ends and had to trim ends of the dash near the window corners to fit

2dkekoh.jpg

2pytkkg.jpg

another prob looks like the gearstick assembly will need moveing back a few inch too

280mk9e.jpg

so whos up on how the hell i rewire mk3 vr6 clocks and coloum storks into the mk1 wireing ,, as I'm stuck ,,,

so 2day i neeeded a break an decided to find some cheep seats after a quick clean i think they will do the job as they evern have runners so , easy to adapt

nice flat backs too ideal i reckon for a caddy

fm6vi9.jpg

33fettt.jpg

2ptcl8l.jpg

and i was going to fit a golf ball type gearknob but it dosent look right after bending the gearstick , so had to buy a nice 4 motion one to match the runing gear

24l975x.jpg
