Hi,

Just a quike question related to my polo, its a H reg polo GT

When the car ingition is on(without car running, turn key once) my oil light flashes...I thought this was normal, however when in my friend Baxters mark 3 1litre polo today and he had his ingition on his oil light stayed on. Both mine and baxters oil lights turn off when engine is started...Who's is wrong, whats the cause and whats the cure?

What should it be doing? Does it vary between the 1litres and the GT/1.3's?
