If we sound a little harsh or judgemental, just bare in mind that we're only trying to help. To be honest we've all been there and done some rather horrid mods. I mean my car USED to look like this ffs lol:

DSC00039.jpg

Granted I never had Lexus lgihts but still :p

Its just that you don't wanna spend loads on your current mods then realise that going Euro is the way forward and start all the way from scratch (happened to me).

Less is more at the end of the day. This is the way I would do things:

1) Debadged grill, clear indicators (front and sides) and red or 16v rear clusters

2) Get the exhaust tip sorted out

3) Lower the thing

4) Get some decent rims

5) Smooth the front bumper

We're all here to help mate so if you need any info just ask. The people on here are really useful :)

All the best mate

P.S- My headlights you see in the pic are for sale if you want them. They cost LOADS new but I'll sell them to you for cheap.

Thank you mate :) i'm going to do for the next mods

Thanks mate :)

I'm putting a debadged grill on my car then clear side repeaters, then wolfrace alloys or BBS alloys then getting my car lowered, then a BMC CDA induction kit and angel eyes with a HID kit.

Anymore ideas for mods?

spit your dummy out, just trying to help the lad Lexus lights look terrible on anything!

Ok dude you want opinions, well to be bluntly honest most of the mods look cheap and chavish, i.e. Lexus lights, neons, the exhaust with the ill fitting tail pipe, footwell neons etc.

I do not understand why people spend loads of money on crappy stick-on parts for their car before doing more essential things like getting them lowered or putting wheels on (although this car would look really well if it were just lowered over the standard alloys)

You can put all the LED washer jets, chrome shark fin ariels, neons, tribal stickers, lexus lights and anything else that falls into the "cheap, stick on crap" category, but at the end of it all the car is just going to look like a dinosaur turd that someone's spilled glitter on... only less tasetful.

I like tints on Polos, but lighter ones suit them better.

Personal preference and all that, but this Polo ticks all the wrong boxes, and in my opinion you should've invested all the money you've spent so far in a decent set of springs or coil overs, and went from there.

Thanks for your input mate :)

The exhaust was already fitted when i bought the car, what exhaust would suit the car more? Also, i'm going to get some mk4 or mk5 rear lights.

Thanks for taking it so well :)

Well that exhaust looks bad because it looks too big for the small car, and because it hangs down so much because of this, you can see that it's some kind of a tail pipe trim and not a real exhaust pipe.

Go for something more subtle and in keeping with the size of the car. For the record I've got a Scorpion exhaust on my Mk2 Golf, and man it looks and sounds the fucking business, and genuinely increases power.

Having checked the Scorpion website I see the they only do a DTM upswept, or boxer style exhaust for the 6n. Maybe the boxer would suit, I think it'd probably be smaller than the one that's on her at the minute anyway.

Save your money and get the car lowered before doing anything else to it. If you're on a budget, check out Hottuning coilovers, once again got them on my Golf, and they are the business.

I'm going to go for some philj coilovers and probably some Wolfrace or BBS alloys, would my car look alot better with 16v rear lights and lowered?

YEAHHH MAN , THAT SOUNDS BLOODY GOOD , bbs look better on mk3's but bbs is very vw so yes very good choice , and remember no bigger than 15" otherwise you are in 4x4 look , and it wont go as low . other than that sounds like a bloody good plan my man :D

Aww dude in my opinion lowering is the first thing you've gotta do to a car no matter what. I've seen Polos decked on 13" steels, and they look feckin' deadly.

There was a thread on here a while ago called something like "who's got the best stance?" but I can't find it, there's a few cracking examples of how a car can look awesome simply by being lowered.

Obviously personal preference but yes your car would look better of it didn't have Lexass lights on it, but who says you have to go for just 16v lights, just try and keep it tasteful. Look around the forum for inspiration.

+1 Spot on. Lowering should be the first priority. My car's been on steels for ages and whilst not jaw-dropping, looks a far sight better than most Wolfrace malarkey. Stick with the BBS mate or lower on steels for now:

haa okay mate.. agree with your comment on the lights, bar they may look half decent on lexus's?

dude do some of the mods mentioned and you could be on to a winner, 6n2 rear lights make the rear look much newer and freshen it up.

6n's arnt exactly the most beautifull looking cars in the world but they only need a few small mods to get looking respectable, as for you are exhaust just go for the standard item i have one made by 'borsal' or something sounds pretty mint and its still hidden! (are these just a replacement box for the standard item?)

all depends on what look you are going for :)

Nice Polo man, have to say the red calipers behind the steels and the 6n2 clusters help to set each other off really well.

Nice choice of exhaust as well, suits her :), any plans?

Ah cheers mate :-D

Yeah waiting for the summer to bag a set of Image rims and sort out the bodywork. The red calipers might need to be ditched once the rims are on though; have to wait and see.

I don't wanna rush it but looking to get a 350Z soon so I need to make my mark on this car :p

I've took the lexus lights off and put the 16v rear lights back on

That was quick lol.

Good work man, keep it up 8-)

slam it...slam it nao!!!

keep it up dude

I reckon red rears would look nice on the car.

Thanks mate :) the sound system was dimming all the lights before i got the power cap

did you have a poor battery? what the cap is doing is being charged from the batery when you start the car, then the amp draws from the cap rather than directly from the battery.. with a a good battery you shouldnt need a cap, especily for one amp and sub, even with the 6x9s. but nw that you have it, you have it. all id say is tidy the wires abit. got a 6" neon and put it behind the sub so u dont the the tube AT ALL but a huge blue glow! ne ideas on what your gona do next?

I'm going to slam it, then put a debadged grill on then some alloys and BMC CDA induction kit, then angel eyes and then HID kit
