They are shit.

I bought the same one about a year and a bit ago, and because it's painted in that shiney black plastic it starts to fade and then goes purpleish until it is almost silver like mine has turned. Also radio reception is balls compared to a standard one.

The best one to go for is the rubbery VW Sharan aerial, won't fade or anything.

poundland and ebay has been my pevious buys for stubby arial nice and cheap.

Some little thief stole my aerial a couple of days ago and as a replacement I bought a 280mm aerial from ebay. It looks like the original and functions the same but is tidier in appearance being shorter. And you don't lose the OEMness.

I've got some of the really short stubby sharan style aerials for sale, £13 posted. (65mm long- perfect fit aswell).

The signal should be near enough the same as the original.
