I agree with that. It's sad but there's a decent sized part of the VW scene which isn't very open to stuff which isn't German. Over the time I've owned my car I've registered on a few different forums for other cars, and I've never been told to take my VW shite and fuck off. But hey.

Transformation, looks nice! its all been done to a high standard and by garages thats why the prices are high'er', why do people hate other car manufacturers?? I'm sure no one will stick to one brand 100% in there life so they should shut the fuck up. RANT over.

Interestingly enough, when we did that shoot we did start to wonder about changing the colour. But remember, that's the only professional picture in this thread, the rest are all my snaps, and that does make the paint look better than it was. The House of Kolor respray has transformed it, really completed the look IMHO.

But yeah realistically with a better condition base car we could've stopped pre respray and it would've looked pretty sweet. But that paint was knackered beyond repair and the arches were fucked.

Gloss black trim, roof and wheel centres was inspired by this:

I even thought about going cream, until I saw the cocoa brown and knew it was the right choice.

One massive transformation, and I like it. Nice subtle mods that really make a difference. Just needs the front down abit as you've planned and will look top

and 5.5k though not budget at all, is as you say alot less than some cars have had spent on them!

for the ultimate euro look you need to get some wider rims on with some good stretch on the tyres. drop the front a little more and you are going to have a winner
