The CG-Lock

sit still... drive faster!

-------------------------------------------------

The CG-Lock is the little device that is making a big difference to driver control and posture all over the world in all sorts of performance cars.

The CG-Lock is the biggest advance in seatbelt technology since the inertia reel belt. It is a unique new product, specifically designed to enhance the driving experience, on the highway and especially on the track & off-road.

For those performance-loving club members who enjoy driving vehicles to their full potential, the advantages of increased car control offered by a 4, 5 or 6 point racing harness are obvious.

As we all know, the vast majority of car drivers do not fit a harness for some or all of the following (real or perceived) reasons:

fitting involves lots of hassle... including drilling and extra roll bar fitting for soft tops...

car used for both track days and as the daily driver...harnesses are not easy to live with on the highway…try reverse parking or looking for oncoming traffic at busy T junctions!

spouse uses the car too and is not impressed with having to get into the harness every trip

use of the back seats (in a 4-5 seater) is lost

most ‘proper’ harnesses needs a second person to make sure the driver is fitted in properly

cost of harness (& roll bar)

concerns over reducing the resale value of the car with a non-OEM harness

a harness may affect car insurance & accident claims

This upgrade to a harness is usually left for the pure driving enthusiast who has a modified car used solely for the track. Until now there has not been a product for these customers...enter the CG-Lock!

A simple and ingenious device, the CG-Lock is manufactured from high quality components and is installed in just a couple of minutes, with no drilling or damage to the standard factory fitted seatbelt. With the CG-Lock fitted you are held tight in the seat, with 80% of the hold of a full harness! (Verified by both British Racing News & Circuit Driver Magazine).

The CG-Lock is patented, and has been fully crash tested to the highest global automotive standards at the 'VIA Testing Facility' in the US, and has demonstrated that when fitted the CG-Lock does NOT interfere with the safety of the factory fitted seatbelt with or without a pre-tensioner.

Please test a CG-Lock… tighten it up drive around a few roundabouts (or a few laps on the track!)...then loosen it off (as if not installed) and drive around again... you'll notice how much you slip around in your seat compared to when the CG-Lock is tightened securely (in any car without a harness, Bugatti, Porsche, BMW, Ford, VW…any one of them…especially with leather seats!) We watch many TV car features and read 100's of car reviews where the journalist is talking about the feel of the car through spirited driving....and they are not wearing a harness...how can they know with the distorted feedback one gets from even slight movement in the seat? I saw Jeremy Clarkson on TG out in a Bugatti a month or so ago....a 200mph car...with standard seatbelts....if only he had a CG-Lock, he could have enjoyed the ride so much more!... experiencing 100% feedback through the body from the tyres.... (it is, after all why harnesses are so good!).

And here’s a thought ...how much do people spend on their car to improve performance...

...figure out the costs of different ways to shave a second or two off your lap time in a

'road car with occasional track day use' (99/100 folks are like me and can’t afford a separate track day-only car!):

Add a turbo (with injectors, new fuel pump, ECU upgrade or re-map) £thousands or

Add a supercharger (with all the upgrades) £thousands or

Add new coil covers, links, bushings, light wheels £thousands or

install a cold air intake, head, headers, free-flow exhaust, racing oils £thousands

OR

Add a CG-Lock £49.99

The cost per shaved second is so much less with the CG-Lock as it improves the DRIVER performance not the car!!

Also, we've had many emails from customers who rave about their track performance improvement....but are also delighted about how their back ache has completely disappeared on longer trips!! if you're taking a longer drive, lightly tighten the CG-Lock to keep you in the correct position for your back to gain most benefit from the lumbar support...

Regarding the crash tests the independent crash test experts at VIA said they’d never seen such an improvement in their career. The CG-Lock would appear to significantly reduce ‘submarining’ and leads to less hip movement on lateral impact…the few inches less movement seen is very impressive. We are planning to get a re-run of these independent tests, to prove we have a ‘safer’ seatbelt. Please note that we do not claim the CG-Lock as a safety product, at the present time all we want to claim is that the safety of the standard seatbelt is not compromised by the addition of a CG-Lock.

If the control claims are not enough to impress you, if you have kids in child seats (in a second car), try the CG-Lock out in the back seats...it is simply the easiest way to PROPERLY secure children in their child seats!! (We have a scientific publication coming out on this proving this in a few months). The implications of this are staggering. 80% of child seats are incorrectly fitted (ref: RoSPA)…much of that due to not being able to tighten the child seat to the car seat. The CG-Lock makes this difficult task so simple.

But back to the track & performance market…give it a good try…and let your colleagues know what you think. We know you will be 100% satisfied.

Happy driving!!... the CG-Lock is the 2008 add-on must-have for anyone who loves driving, but doesn’t want the hassle of a harness!

Buckling up will never be the same!
