Wheeltrims will only fit properly to correct size rims, which are available from specific sources, 15" and 16" steels are around if you know where to look and 15/16" trims can be sourced from different VW models like the 16ers from the mk4 Bora

Surely that doesn't make sense if they're 'oversized'.

They don't fit, that's the point.

So, how do you attach them?

I don't know the answer but two people have asked this question now and it hasn't been answered.

Afraid those BMW Mini trims won't go on your friend's 13" 6n steels as they are 15" trims

I've never seen trims with their clips snapped off + cable tied on, though I can imagine you'd have one hell of a time centering the trim on, not without extended/double cable ties on each spoke which would be a lot of effort... Add that to the potentially imbalanced effect of an off-centre trim at 60mph and you have yourself a simply hideous accident ^__^;;;;

Couldnt you just get some 14" ones, and cut all the holding/clamping (whatever they're called, the bits that hold trim to wheel) parts off

Then get the over sized ones, do the same, but make the inside smooth. Then stick the 14" holding parts on the over sized one. Just take measurements from different ares of the edge of the oversize trim to make sure you stick the holding parts centre

It wasn't me who mentioned the word Oversized, I pointed out that trims will only fit a size of wheel they were intended to fit onto. I'm guessing oversized denotes a trim that is too big for the wheel being fitted.. I wrote down the problems of this in my previous post :-) Never meant to cause confusion PSWPolo!

Ah I see, I thought you were saying it couldn't be done, not explaining the concept of how a wheel trim works.

yea pretty much what you said you use the face of the larger trim and the back/base of the smaller one hacksaw/dremel and seperate the back then glue the smaller back onto the bigger face of the trim its managable just abit faffy to get right

There just C-class wheel trims with the badges mirror polished and the trims painted orange.
