LOL I know I know!

Cant keep everything forever though, you'd all cry if you saw the gear I have stored up for my Rallye which will probably never see the light of day anytime soon, including porsche brakes, 1.8t engine etc etc its all sat rotting away in my dads shed.

Oh back to Polo a minute though, selector cables man how expensive are those things!! since I have to stip it all out I thought while it was in bits I would replace the cable but damn! not at that price.

Panels are now at the body shop geting painted, guy is doing it for free 8-) as he's going to do it in his own dinner time etc (Its his bodyshop though!) which is sweet.

Should have at least the wings back by then end of the week

Each to there own I suppose, I'm just bored and like typing shit about cars.

Been a while since an update and the cars still not finished  although not alot left to do.

I managed to sort out the shifter, in the end I had to change both shifter cables and I fabricated a new bracket for the one that broke.

Front wings and bumper have now been painted, still undecided about what to do with the bonnet have been looking at a carbon one but cant really justify the outlay at the moment. Maybe a black and red chequered vinyl wrap instead??

Front bumpers not bolted up here yet as I am still waiting for a headlight washer assembly to come, in fact that and a parcel shelf are the only items missing now before its taken for an MOT (I know the parcel shelfs not needed for an mot :-D )

I'm also on the look out for another set of wheels, as I think the Kerschers are going to be too wide without modding the arches so these will probably be put aside for my Caddy.

And then onto probably the best part of the transformation for me,

Out with the old....

and in with the heated LEATHER BABY!!!! YEAH!

Has to be the best mod of the lot as its completely transformed the inside of the car.

Thats about me up to date for now, future plans include maybe retrimming the headliner in red alcantara and building a nice ICE install in the boot if I get time but I think once the front end gets bolted back on and its mot'ed it'll just get used and abused from now on.

looking good mate!!

Top points to you for doing this. Leather interior is soo much better than normal GTi interior.

looking smart as! what you do with your old gti interia?

This is a good transformation!

Did you spray the whole sides of the car when painting the wings?

I like the look of those headlights (not that i'd want the angel eyes) but the black inserts look good.

Were they expensive? Where form? Are they a good fit?

They're available from venommotorsport, and they do fit well. Shame they all come as angels though. There was a guy on here though selling some custom GTI headlamps with black inserts.

They're fooking cheap too! £123 for the pair including indi's!!!!!! I'll get a pair of them!
