Today I'm welding antirollbar with stabilizerbars for a Golf1.

This G1 has just made 497hp and 521Nm.....

Did some more work on the donorcar for the project:

Lot's of cables and I take it all out.

Don't know if I will use it because of the startblocker, maybe MegaSquirt...

Tomorrow I hope this will go out of my garage and the Polo in :-D

That is a pretty serious rear beam there!! those adjustable blade ARBs arent cheap.

you seem more than capable of the big block conversion (2E?? AGG??) in your track car, it seems we are scared of the big block conversion in england, very very few have done it properly, theres been a few frankensteins but nothing done nicely. be very interested to see how this one turns out, keep up the good work.

If it's correct what I measured so far, there shouldn't be a big problem doing this properly.

But I have to think one step further as I want a 1,8T later...

I really want to build something that's working nice on a track so I have to rebuild the frontsuspension and thinking of building a frame for the motor/gear.

btw it's a 2E engine if I remember correctly.

Tomorrow I will show you some more goodies parts wich I'm modifying for the MonsterGolf

Made some parts for the daily, not finished yet, are making the steelbushing tomorrow.

These wishbones are made of Sellholm, pretty expensive parts.

I'm gonna mod 'em with adjustable antirollbar.

Are gonna make some similar for my own project...

btw it's a 2E engine if I remember correctly.

And I didn't, it's a ADY engine.

Didn't get much done today, mostly getting the workshop ready for the Polo to come in.

Hopefully tomorrow it inside...

Been a while since my last update

As my last Golf1 project was sold a few weeks ago I started a new project.

First I bought some parts for my daily but when the seller wanted to wreck the car I took it.

My first idea was to put in a 2.0 8v GTI engine but after some measuring i found out that the engine had to stand along the car.

Did some measuring on the engine and with the same rideheight as my daily it was 1 inch below the ground...

Lucky me I have a brand new aluengine

I'm now designing a new clutch-housing for the Volvo M47 and the AKS engine.

Aluminium off course, I'm gonna hunt every gram I can on this project.

The flywheel are gonna be my own design and the clutch something from Sweden...

I also know there are possible to make the midaxle (don't know the english word) in carbon.
