Modified cars have grown up a lot I reckon, people are doing different stuff and we're covering all aspects (not just tapping Euro repeatedly like our rival). Not all of these are gonna be to everyone's taste, but just as an idea of the spread of cars we're featuring:

I'd say, by the way, that I fall into the same territory as a lot of you guys. I stopped buying Max in about 2004 and switched to PVW etc because it was getting a bit, um, juvenile and I didn't like a lot of the cars. But genuinely I reckon we've become a very cool niche product now. Smaller, more focused and with a much better spread of cars, shows and features than we've ever had before.

I really do think we've got the product just right, though it's taken a few tweaks to get here. Max went really high end in 2006-2007, wasn't the right product for the market. But it's a much more mature magazine and a good read now (I would say that!) and we've put more fun and attainable stuff back in, along with the big budget motors.
