Thing is, I don't want it to look like that, I own a G40 for one reason and that's to drive it not polish it

but you dont..

Verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry nice matey. Keep it 100% standard. It'll be worth more in the long run. Not a fan of red much tho.

Black ftw ;)

Was impressed by this at UD, looks even better now.

I say put the chip and pulley on mate, just keep the originals to change back if/when you decide to part with it, then you have no worries. Plus no one will ever be able to tell the difference if you do decide to!

Abit more boost makes quite a difference, more G smiles ftw!

something for jay135 to drool over, same as his bar G which I'm sure he wants!

lovely :-)

Haha, yeah was jsut showing my mate at college this. looks identical to mine but obviously a lot tidier.

heres mine but lowered Paul, sometimes come to the VAG-H20 meets as well so may see your G!

Think we need a photoshoot?! ;)

That was my next question, was this the same one I saw at UD

Again cheers for the comments people!!

I've owned the car since March this year but in that short space of time i've had quite a bit done to get it to where it is now!! 8-)

Its just over 90K and I have a big fat file of history with it!! :-)

I used to own this:-

But after getting it to that standard it was left parked on my driveway for 18 months, shame really but one of those things!! In the end me and my mate swapped cars and I ended up with the G!! ;)

I've had quite a few Golfs of all marques and a few Polo's and a Lupo but of all of them this is the best to drive performance/handling wise!! :-D

Minor update, had the boot re-done back to bare metal following an issue with the paint but all sorted now!! 8-)

Should be at Inters on the Sunday with it!! ;)

Cant wait to get a show with the car now!! :-D

I Vaxed the interior the other day and its come up MINT (you'd be surprised how much a wet vac brings out the seats!! ), ordering a few petty trim bits tommorrow to finish the interior off!! 8-);)

do the chip and pully dude, its a good subltle mod, that is so easily reversed, no one will tell. and will make the drive even better with a lil more boost!

Thats mint!

I'd do the pulley stuff as it wouldn't affect the appearane of the car, you could also change it back if you wanted to.

that must be one of the very last un-modified uk g40s around. is it 100% std? not even been chipped and pulleyed?

Yes mate, TOTALLY STANDARD at the mo!! 8-) I have bought the chip'n'pulley but i'm reluctant to do it as an untouched G40 these days is ACTUALLY e-bay rare!!;)

it's so nice. I love modified mk3's as much as i love the standard and OEM+ look. This completely does it for me... would look mint with genuine VW/Hella clear front indicators, only for aesthetics mind but this is perfection!

*cough cough* hella obsessed *cough* lol

mate that is beautifal i wouldnt bother with the chip and pulley, based purely on the fact that if it was me then i know it would start with just a chip and pulley then it would be oh a little lowering wont hurt and then it would just spiral out of control lol

seen this at all types, really really tidy car!!!

Cheers lads!! :-D

I've decided against the chip'n'pulley to keep it ultra OEM!! :-)

I've just heard there may be a feature coming soon too!! 8-);)

  • 2 weeks later...

Keep up the amazing work with keeping it OEM
