Remove Seat Foot Guards

Hi there,

I'm not sure what they're called but I'm looking to remove the bits of plastic that follow round the door side of the seat round to the front. They are at roughly foot level, so I guess they're kick guards/foot guards of some shape or form. They are the same crappy plastic stuff as the door cards.

They appear to cause an irritating rattle and also prevent me putting *blasphemous word* seat covers on them.

I removed the star screw from the back of the seat but this only releases a bit of it, it appears to have two other connection points somewhere in the mechanism of the seat moving forward and back and slightly forward of that.

Any ideas on how to remove them would be most appreciated.

It's a Mark 3 Polo, 3Door.
