I'm sure it will be rdy start september ( finger's crossed ) i will sort out a cumbria VAG meet the day after I've been insured/tax/mot with mr donny burgers permission witch I'm sure will be NP ,

as far as updates , I've just bought a chrome and red AA badge of here for the front , and have also bought a new gear knob and just waiting on delivery , mechanics back on the 18th so then she will be runnin sweet as a nut , part from that just needs break fluid and rear drums putting in . still waiting on my v6 from dvla ( why are they so slow ? )

Exhaust was custom made by a friend for me with stuff he had left over, he's not on here, and doesn't do it any more sorry.

It's basically a 2" pipe, with a Mk2 Golf GTi backbox turned around, sealing one of the (now) inlets.

and thanks kam , slowly getting there , need tax, MoT, 3 Engine parts , rear drums replacing , and brake fluid , then i can drive about again, next plans are retriming the interior , and finger's crossed I've just applied as a job learning how to panal beat and respray ! so my 1 bad sill can be fixed for nout and hopefully a cheeky cheap respray same colour to make it extra nice! , g40 a xmas ftw!

hmm, maybe i should clean my bay.. or just take it off the road and respray it :s

cleaning is easy :p , keep car under cover = car clean

anyway gonna order some spacer's for the back heh, car is going to be mechanically 100% by then end of this week and should fly through the MOT still waiting on my v5 from dvla ...slow bastards. got a new speaker grille for the front as the old one was tatty, thanks to retrowagen for the fast posting .. still waiting on some stuff from others :( anyhoo got 2 days off now so I'm gnna have a play with 1 or 2 things ill keep u updated with pics I'm sure. :)

Quick update, got it running a lot better this weekend, and finally found the gearshift coupler, so got that fitted.

As far as I can see, all that's left to do now is:

Get the wipers / rear brake lights / sidelights working.

Get the timing sorted.

Sort the exhaust leak between fannymold / downpipe.

Get some brake fluid in.

Get MOT, tax, insurance.

Drive.

He's a little vid of it moving under it's own power for the 1st time in 16 years.
