Ford Escort SI/GTI 1.8 16v

Hi all,dont know how much interest I'm gonna get for this on a vw forum but thought id give it a go.Been missing my old golf gti ever since i bought the escort,its a good car and starts firt time every time.I'll cut and paste my 'swapz' advert and put it below! Id take £650 cash for it,but would prefer a swap for a golf.

The car is in good condition overall,mot'd until feb 2010 and taxed until oct/nov 2009,1.8 16v zetec engine(same as the gti).Recently serviced,new wishbones,exhaust system,brake pipes etc etc,there is nothing left to fix really.The interior is mint and good comfy sports seats,aircon,electric windows,6x9 speakers in the rear.122k miles but is in daily use so this will increase.The only problems with the vehicle are that it had 3 rust holes on the boot that i filled and painted myself but not amazingly well,there is a small scrape down the drivers side rear arch and both rear arches are showing signs of rust,one worse than the other,i can provide pics if anyone is interested.

Forgot to say, the car is an SI model which has the same engine,suspension etc as the GTI but is only an insurance group 8!!
