I've done a little bit. had my first weekend off work in 12 weeks so its been awesome :-)

just finishing the wiring now ready for the big power on. hopefully should have got it bang on 1st time but we shall see. I've been a haf my custom front brakelines done- £15 each for custom goodridge braided aint bad at all:-)

just leaves the pipework for the pedalbox and some tidying up in that area, then fit the remaining interior to finish. still a lot to do though I'm afraid so i dont expect it done anytime soon

just change your clocks for newer ones, if you get 6n2 ones or lupo (early ones tho 919 code) then you can have fancy dials. il wire them up for you for a few quid (il do an adapter loom for plug and play)

both, 919 is pre can bus.

at the minute I'm far to busy to do it but your looking about £20 with it being a straight plug in and go adapter. with speedo loom + sender included.

What management do you run yours on Kiz? And repainting the bay again? What for? 3 pot diesel would be an achievement. I'm put off the newer PDs due to all the wiring, though I may still experiment with that 1W I have.

True that. I'm not really happy with the bay in mine, and I know as much as anyone that photos can be flattering. But I've had to compromise and leave the engine in just to get some use out of the car ths year. Which is still looking unlilkely

no you are quire correct ben- when removed it wont go back in. will more them likely be sooner rather then later- I do hope everybody enjoys getting wet at the weekend- il be thinking of you sat in my nice warm house!

yes, but I'm not going to sit in a tent while getting soaked in the rain, no amount of booze is going to get me though that- add the fact its silverstone and face a huge tailback on the roads and i decided not to go- i think guy is the same! I'm guessing when the poloshow was moved to this weekend someone didnt notice its the GP weekend hence why it was clear lol!

I've come to the conclusion I will most definatly have to extend 99 percent of the wires with my wire tuck. However I do remember you saying certain wires cannot be extended? If my thinking is correct it would be the knock sensor wiring as the extra length could give a delay making it think its running wrong? everything else seems ok to extend? Clutching at straws here though haha.

Could you please enlighten me on this before I start cutting things up lol.

you can extend any wire you wish, provided it is done to factory spec! the knock sensor wire is in a shielded 3wire cable- a new longer length of this will be required (for get the delay- it would have to be a mile long before that happens- just dont have joins in it which will add to resistance) same with lambda! and you just need to remember that the ECU must be located within 480mm of the throttle body T piece- the map hose is a set length!

It might of been the map hose then, I don't have a ecu yet so didn't even think about that. Didn't know a map hose was needed lol. I've worked out the best place for the ecu ( at the end of the exhaust tunnel) so it'll be alrite I think.... Shortest run of wire inside the car to keep it at its longest in the engine bay :-D will make a seperate hole by the steering rack where all my brake lines are running inside for the map hose then :-)
