no, but i didnt want to argue as he was letting me off a number plate fine. i have a form to take to a garage to have stamped to say i've had them put back on too! also my exhaust is apparently defective too. great.

theres lot of old car with out bumper

i was pulled weeks ago and never mentioned bumpers, its not against the law,my mates an MOT man and said so!

not against the law as far as am aware so long as plates are displayed and rear one is still lit up.

just hack 2 small sections out of the bumpers and stick them on the corners, keep it almost bumperless lol

and looks mint btw, old skool rat look that suits the dubs so well

Theres one this colour near my house, love the colour. Trying to get the car off the lass but shes not having any of it

I prefer it with the bumpers, but if you want to run without them you can - its perfectly legal, the copper was talking out of his arse. You must have rear plate lights, though.

You can take the document back to the station un-stamped and tell them its legal,or get the garage to confirm it for a small charge.

If the police say they'll take you to court, let them - you'll be cleared and wont have to pay anything. I speak from personal experience that winning a case against a tosspot police officer in court is a lovely feeling.

this car looks sick, wouldnt look the same with the bumpers on. its perfect ;)

i'll ring up the police station tommorow. the rear bumper is back on for now. he didnt say anything about the front one, i dunno whether he just didnt notice or what... i'm disapointed to say the least. i loved my bumperless look, i think it really suited my car : /

looks wicked, i am going down the no bumper route with mine.....although i will be using a tvr backlite rear number plate so it actually lights up with no bumper or external lights in place

I'm not sure on the 90/60 drop though mate......more like 60/40

if you wanna fix the no rear platelight problem, can you not mount a light on the old wiper hole?
