Weekend bargain bump

does it run ok? as in starts first time everytime? whats it down on the log book?

I feel stupid to do this because what i have is obviously worth alot more.

But a ..

2001 seat ibiza 1.4 chill , mot and tax. bit shaby bodywork... but these reach £2500 on auttrader at the mim

AND

a complete engine conversion for a honda civic eg , its a b16a engine , 1.6 dohc vtec (180bhp) I've paid 1k all togher for this engine.... It has everything , block , inlet/outlet/ box , ecu , loom , driveshafts , gear linkage everythingggg!!! all you need is a £500 honda civic Eg , drop this straight in and you have a sleeper...

What's the mileage of the engine in this?

I can't believe this aint sold tbh. There seems to be a lot of dreamers out there going by replies on this thread. G40's won't lose any more value, so for a running conversion in whats looks a tidy shell, this is a steal. It would be worth more in parts if you had to go lower on price.......

so true..typical of the idiots on this site to be honest. Get lots of pics, wack it up on ebay and youll get your money.. Wouldn't bother selling owt to the majority of the pubescent dreamers on this site mate. Well worth 1k quid! Not a penny under! Absolute steal! Good luck mate. Failing that bust it and let someone else fuck about spending more to put it all back in another shell.

I'd say the engine alone is nearly worth the asking price and thats without it being in a shell AND running.

Goes to show that alot of people really dont know what they're looking at and probably couldnt even afford to run one

Defiantely dont let it go for under £1k.

Jon

if i dint have 1 already i would have bought this for the original price

I'm sooo tempted to buy this 1 aswell jus for the fact a grand is nothing for this car come on som1 buy it

I would of had it but sadly I'll admit, not in a position to buy :(.

Your all right about this site being full of know it all anoraks!

anyways the car is now sold, and the new owner couldnt believe how good a car it was, hope you enjoy it if you read this mate.

Lucky guy, congratz on the sale :).

it was my mate that bought the car i cant fault anything on it, still dont see what the big fuss was about all he did was drop the engine in a diff shell and sold it... alot of people do that only difference was it lacked g40 brakes and suspension and wasnt modified

Maybe that was reason enough to put people off it mate...having said that it does look the part.

main reason was because he ran a spi pump and probly melted all the pistons!

I think you'd realise if you melted even one piston to be fair.

well yes but ran the risk of doing some serious damage

he gave us the pump along with the car and the brakes and a few more spares like arches etc...as stated in advert... he dint have space to do this himself the car is fine and everything is now sorted on it with no harm dun... I'm defending the former owner cos i dnt see y people are attackin him over sellin the engine already in a shell and running... the engines go for a lil less than a grand themselves and its already in a solid shell... wt else could u ask for... it was bort a lil project anyway so fittin the pump n brakes ourselves was part of it

Firstly get your self added if thats your car in your avator http://www.clubpolo.co.uk/forum/index.php?...=163276&hl=

I think the main reason is if you read the original ad which has not been edited it was advertised as an original g40 etc then slowly thing came out of the wood work whereas if everything had been said straight away i dont think this would have happened
