I'm emailing from work but got a mechanic intrested he came down yesterday to have a scan. he said it may be the heater matrix. but he said that would be a mission because will have to take the whole dash out because its behind like the stereo area. he said he would of rather had the head gasket blown lol. but hes going to let me know. cheers

sounds like hes going to try knock you bargin price due to abit of work, its pretty easy to replace that mate everything just unclips/unscrews then the bolt on either end n your sorted! hour tops!

how stupid are you two, if this dude hadnt started breaking this car my car would have been off to the scrapy because vw and other dealers sell parts for stupidly high prices, and I'm sure there are other folk who needs parts too. So for the sake of one car being scrapped it could save many more. makes sense to me. Id be shaking folks who break down cars that dont work any more hands, rather than threatening them. Hell, its not even as if if its rare sports car or something special, its a polo for fucks sake.

door cards are fine. drivers seat has a rip, buit the rest are ok

well if its an se its a 1.4 8v. just the way you where saying it sounded like it had 16v engine and seats. but coss its an se the only things like on it that are the same as a 16v are the rear lights,bumpers and dash. every thing els is just standerd polo. get sum photos of the engine up
