Love this car. Love mk1 fiesta and the mk2 xr2 (remind me of mk2 coupe).

This one really does look like a belter though. Love the interior and exterior and the engine sounds like it will lots of fun. Power to weight bitches.

Personally i love minilites and i think it will look awesome on them. Save full judgement for when you have got them on a put some pics up.

Anyways lovely car. Make sure you don't sack it into a ditch :-)

beautiful car.

that slammed on those new minilites, would be immense! :D

Thankyou for your feedback much appriciated.

thats what I'm going to do, put mini lites on when i have spare cash for tyres.

went out on sunday night to where people go and "put in the laps" i wasn't holding out to beat much, i was sitting level my friends GT (with engine work) and i killed a 306. haha good times,

completly right, power/weight ratio. the 1300 x flow engines were tough, and quite tuneable. :-D

haha, its not so easy to slam a mk1 - panhard rods make the rear axle sit to the side, so you have to weld in an adjuster. not like dubs, its a whole new learning curve. haha

will look fit.

205 gti 1900 or 205 mi16 :p

This will be up for grabs soon i think

Give it to Dirrt

haha, never dirrt :smirk:

That's sweet, they're great fun but for the wonky steering column and biscuit tin shell.

I've had a couple of XR2's but the only MK1 i had was a US spec 1.6 Ghia (it needed the extra 300cc to carry the bumpers..). They've all been alot of fun,but a push-rod is great because you can just thrash them all day long - I've only managed to blow one up,and it took some doing.

A 1700cc version would be ace.

I really wanted a Supersport for ages, but still i never had one.

Not feeling some minor cosmetic changes, such as square plate and omitted bumpers, but i bet its a right hoot to drive.

haha, you it known as the cammed can now.

they are fun. i think its all inkeeping with the style of the car.

a friends dad used to race the 1600's, his was packing 197 bhp N/A

Don't sell it you banana. Get a cheap ass daily and wang a bigger engine in it :-) You wouldn't be able to replace this very easily and you will be hard pushed to find anything else as fun. Find out a common engine conversion and have a go at it.

RS turbo engine that sucker!! :-) **i say this with no experience with fords so i guess it would be a cunny of a job :-)**

Still bigger engine for the win.

Get the minilites on asap and you'll be a hero.

I am tempted to put a 1700 in it on twin 40's or push the pout out and go down the 2.0 16v on boddies. :)

not sure yet, its all well making it go fast, you wanna try stopping it. haha those xr2 brakes dont really do much haha

didn't think id get this response on club polo, glad its not full of scene whores, some actual car enthusiasts in here :)
