What grinds your gears when driving?

Do you run everywhere, because you have the ability?

What really pisses me off is when people don't say thanks for letting them in. I usually have the window wound down and shout "DON'T MENTION IT" at them.

very good point i have noticed that some bikes do that because the cant be arsed to drive fast and just wanna chilli . i take that point back lol

I love people sitting up my arse, but I bet they don't when I try to claim a new bumper.

not using the clutch..

When your going down a road with speed bumps and because theres cars parked on either side you can only get one car through...

Someone letting you through even tho youve pulled over and flashed them and written them a fucking invitation to come through and because your low you have to take if carefully over the bumps

Then that driver giving you a dirty look!

People (usually middle aged women) who charge at you on a narrow country road and make no effort to move over to their side of the road, forcing their victim onto the grassy bank / bush at the side of the road.

Had one of those earlier, I think they're hilarious. What has more road presence, a brand new range rover, or a scruffy old transit tipper?

Sufficed to say, she moved out of the way.

I just will not move for these people, but then I am very confident on my ability to squeeze my car through gaps people don't think are possible

People who try and undertake me on the white lines when I'm in the left lane, indicating to turn left on a roundabout.

People who don't let you onto a motorway.

Chavs.

Old people who just shouldn't be driving. If you can't handle a car at a reasonable speed, you clearly can't drive safely.

Not a direct annoyance to me but I can imagine it being a bugger: people who do not move out of the way of ambulances and fire engines. I've been caught out a couple of times because I couldn't hear sirens over music with the windows closed but as soon as I see the flashing in my mirror I move over as soon as I can. They're called emergency services for a reason.

Also nobody around here seems to know how to use a roundabout. I've sat so many times waiting for a car with no indicators or indicating right to go past in front of me only to have it turn off. Then I'm sat there looking like an idiot.

people who tail me when I'm going slow over speed bumps giving me dirty looks etc! Its a speed bump....they are designed to slow people down, so why all the anger when someone actually goes slowly over them!! Oh and also people who horn me when I'm going slowly over speed bumps....as if they are thinking I'm doing it on purpose or something!!!

'Speed ramps' is slang for 'Sleeping policemen'. The idea of them is to stop people speeding, and maintain a legal speed. You should not be having to slow down for them, they're there to prevent you from driving too fast.

You should be able to maintain 20mph along a road with ramps. If you have to slow to walking pace for a ramp, that suggests there is something wrong with your car - hence the police frowning on such behaviour.

It also suggests,of course, that the contractors who built the ramp were taking the piss.

As for the thin blue line in between, well that's for you and your local magistrate to agree on.

I have to drive slowly over speedbumps to stop my exhaust falling off.

People who use their horn over really slow drivers. That's added to my list. How do you know I don't have a problem with my car? I know it can be frustrating being stuck behind a slow car but there's no need to try and intimidate me because it might not be my fault.

My pet hate driving is at roundabouts. Car in front of me coming to roundabout. Am looking to my right assessing my timing for getting out after car in front. Nothing is coming round the roundabout n the person at the right is sitting there looking at the car in front of me stopped ( when they have the right of way). and the car in front of me who is waiting for the car to the right to go is looking at them. Its obvious the car to the right aint gonna go so JUST GOOOOO ARGGGGG! Generally they sit staring at each other. WHATS THE DEAL THERE? GIVE WAY TO RIGHT AT ROUNDABOUTS. Its a simple system to follow. Not stare at each other and also check to you are left exits aswell coz u have all the time in the world and think you are having a picnik or something. We can all be in-decisive with our driving but there are people out there who cause confusion and instigate accidents !!!!! Theres my 2 pence worth in this post now.

Mikey...your car may be in perfect working condition, but trust me you would not like to drive at 20 over the bumps where i used to live...

10mph at max

i slow to walkign pace...i like my suspension too much

Usually new BMW Drivers on motorways. Wankers.

Hence the second point - i know some ramps that are terribly shaped, and the tyre strikes the top of the ramp first instead of rolling up it. Its like hitting a semi-low kerb head on,bangs the shell at 5mph,and is just plain out of order.

another, just two streets away,is the height of a beer can and ramps near 45 degrees - whoever built it failed.

But our authorities are anti-car.

sunday drivers, who are a day late when I'm late for work on a monday morning!

sunday morning drivers...took 1h 15 to do a 30 min trip...

every other road user, frankly all a bunch of muppets or accidents waiting to happen, out of my way little people

;)

Best one i seen of this was the other day had just come onto a dual carridge way getting up to speed when i realise the honda civic type r in front is doing about 40mph so over take and its some old geezer and and wife driving
