Sealing/ protecting body kits?!

hey,

Just after a little bit of advise. I have brought a car with a body kit on it and have been told I need to seal it to protect it from rotting etc, before the winter. Whats the best way to go about this, best product to use, instructions on line to do a proper job?

Thanks any help would be appreciated.
