MKII Body Kits

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if a tasteful 80's style body kit was ever made? Really like the look of 80s Audis with kits, and the old Renault 5's proper chunky. Just skirts and front/rear splitters really, nothing silly!

I know there are some for sale on the site, but they're not really what i'm after

Ideas welcome, ta

Oh, and where can i get stickers from?

Yep there are Zender and Rieger (probably more) for the mk2 coupe.

If you are into your 80's style squarebacks then just type VW polo bb Paris or polo bb Carat into google.

Awesome, cheers. Now, if only i could read German! have you deciferd any of that, are they for sale?

There was some amazing stuff for the old polo's in germany wasnt there. Grrr, why did britain never get any of it :-(

Reiger and Zender Kits are for sale in the UK or can be shipped to a UK Distributor

Personally i find there a bit over the top ..

Kamai do front splitters and rear difusers but there as rare as rocking horse shit i would kill for a front splitter :(

yeah, they are a bit over the top. the skirts arent too bad, but not on their own

I know they did a OEM whole front end job back in the 80s, but i doubt they're available now. I'll get some pics up, looks proper naughty!

odd little kit's lol

I'm not a fan of the grillz, with some nice alloys with a nice tyre profile and slammage i reckon thats a winner.

but still abit ott

Yeah, grill is a bit off. But i like the splitter, i'v seen some on here with a similar one too. Just looks totally different with the full whack though

I say go custom like mine ...

I have considered it, i really like the square boxy look though, proper retro.

i'v just been touring polo2.de and found a polo pick-up. Looks awesome, so might have to try one of them first!

Initialy the arches were spliced (cut into several sections) They were hammerd out and a universal flexible arch was bended into place .. This was tackd onto the existing arch and it was all seam welded up. A bit of fibreglass to smooth ontop then a skim of filler to finnish the look and a load of thick stonechip inside .

Thats the basic's anyhow .. I have progress piccy's ifya need them ..

Yeah, that'd be great ta. I did have a browse time ago acually.

Atm, i have a square back, so flared arches are a bit of a pain on that, but would be appreciated

@Nick Loving that jag front end. Proper LOL'd (fucking hate that acronym) there
