Came to turn my engine over yesterday, everything connected up as it should be, and fuel started pissing out of the t piece in the carbs on the fuel-in. Now I think it may have a split in the t piece as its leaking from where it goes in. Are these t pieces available from bike dealers and how easy are they to replace (I have very basic mech skills)

just any t picce the correct size for pipe diameter will be fine mate, pref metal however some plastic type ones are designed to be used in fuel, just might degrade and go brittle unlike metal ones :)

Don't have frame no. Or the age of the bike they came off so dunno what to do.. buy another set of carbs being the easy option??

Out of all them, the ones it bold are the only ones from a hyrdo headed mk2 engine, that runs vacuum advance.

The MH and the 2G engines being the 1.3 engines, the NU i have no idea, never heard of it. Definetly isn't a 1.05 or anything.

Might be the deisel?

Could be the O-rings on them or your pressure is way too high.

Well I've got an electric facet pump 1-5psi i think? You see when I put the fuel hose onto the t piece i heard a very quiet crack? So i thought it might have split due to my over persuasion of fuel pipe fittage! I'll take the carbs off tomorrow and split them and check the o-rings too.

Messaged the guy I bought them off (phataz1) and he's checking to see if he has the frame no. :)

What carbs are they? Keihin? There should be some identifying codes somewhere.

Yes they are Keihin I'm pretty sure, cant check til tomorrow night as i'm away with work but i'll let you know what i find. Cheers mucker :)

Right I've got the carbs off again, they are Keihin, i found printed on the side '26E0 JFT' and 'CVK' was printed somewhere else.

All i know is they are off a GSXR 600

aha. You've got a keihin CVK carb setup then.

take it apart, see what (if anything) is broken, and get googling. Don't wast your time finding part until you know you need them.

hi i have got some cbr 600 f carbs and want to know how do i go about fitting the indiviual air filters on these adn there is no way of holding them into place

this is what I've got obviously where the trumpets and air box bolts onto with a rubber gasket

Ok the question is can you get the indiviual air filters to fit these carbs if so how and if possible can I have pictures

Have you got the trumpets? as you will need those to hold the filters.

Yeh got the standard trumpets an like half the air box but the airbox plastics and there's like a gold coloured piece of steel with 4 bolt holes in each corner to bolt to the carbs there is one of those for each trumpet aswell how do I hole the trumpet on with out the plastic airbox bit

think you might need the plastic bit.

Oh ok could I replace it with a strip of metal to tidy it up if not I was thinking about making a airbox to house a filter with a cold air feed too it aswell I am an apprentice welder/fabricator so I should be able to knock something up lol
