Polo Harlequin looking for new home!

Featured Replies

Polo Harlequin for sale. A much loved member of the family since 2001, now has to go. Four registered owners from new, three of them family members!

All the usual Harlequin kit; sports seats, alloy wheels, electric windows (yes, they do work!) plus remote central locking, alarm, Aiwa CD receiver, front fog lights. Generally in good condition for a 13 year old, 115000 mile car but does have a few dings gathered along the way! Currently has a new MOT certificate and documents include all MOT certificates back to 2001. Recent new front tyres, brakes, rear dampers and wheel bearings all round.

Would love the car to go to another Harlequin enthusiast. Asking £750 ONO.

I can't figure out how to add photo's here but I'll be happy to e-mail them.

Thanks for the help!

Here are a couple of photos. I can upload more if you need them.

The car is 'normal' Harlequin spec, 1.4 engine, alloys, sports seats, harlequin gear lever, deep bumpers, power steering, electric windows (front only), central locking etc. It also has an alarm with remote locking and an Aiwa CD receiver.

It still has it's original engine, so its an 8 valve.

The car is now listed on Ebay if anyone is still interested.

No it's listed as a 'Harlequin'. The front bumper sticker (original) says Harlequin, as did the original gear lever insert, but a replacement gear lever (bought due to damage to the original one) says 'Harlekin'.

I assume that the car was called Harlequin for the right-hand drive UK market and Harlekin for Europe. The spare gear lever stock appears to be European spec!

the two uk spec ones i worked on are defo harlekin. strange?

well you learn something everyday....

In Europe, a special "Harlekin" or "Harlequin" model was released in 1995. The Polo Harlekin was an unusual edition featuring a multi-coloured body with each panel in a different colour: red, yellow, pistachio green or blue. It used the same engines as regular Polos—only the colour of the panels was the difference. Originally limited to 1,000, around 3,800 of this series were produced
