Anyone fitted coilovers to a 9n3

Fitted some ta technix coilovers(i know, cheap ass muvva) to my 1.4tdi. i dropped the car about 70mm and i got some serious knocking and i was told to get some droplinks. so i took it upon myself to cut 50mm out and weld em back together .

it was better but i still got some knocking so i got back under thurr again and found it was hitting my inner arches so i cut some of that off andanother 40mm off the links for good measure but I'm still getting a little bit of knocking when i go over something with both wheels otherwise there fine.

I've cut 90mm out already should i keep going or hav i cut too much? should i cut some more out or just cut the damn roll bar out?! ill put some pics on soon if that helps, cheers
