Having chatted to Mr.France at Polo Show, found out a bit more info on the wheels

Definitely ATS, though still not sure on the model name

They were a £900 option as part of the Reiger kit for a Mk1 Golf and were originally diamond cut

Also, good picture from Mr.B at Polo Show!

And another I found

Fancied a swap of wheels but it didn't work so put them back!

The car is now back on snowflakes as tax runs out on Tuesday!

Plans for next year look good, looking for a 9a bottom end to bolt onto the KR head, should be a nice torquey motor with about 160-170 bhp! :-D

This roccos fat mate mind if you dont mind me saying so id put them le castelletes back on her but like they all say its your drive i quite like the centras on the mk4 ? so where next back to edition again or action

Fancied a swap round of wheels so what do we think?

The car will probably sit on these over winter as they're not polished and tax runs out on Tuesday!

As put above matey, think centras will be retired for this year now!

Must be getting towards end of the show season, I've contemplated getting my winter wheels out today

Can you not throw a set of KR cams into the 9A? Would save all that work. Will be fun once set up though

Would do that but already got a full KR engine  bolting a 9a bottom to a KR head is a proven torquey motor with about 160-170 so I'm going for it! :-D

Another year of scirocco motoring has come to an end :(

But he shall return and as this year was the 'showing' year, next year will be the 'going' year haha :-D

Off to the garage tomorrow to book provisional date and hammer out a price for the engine conversion, it maybe done for UD next year (I may apply to go inside with him!) but it'll definitely be done for SpringFest where I'll be on the 1/4 mile pretty much all day!

I miss mine, was almost identical to yours :crybaby:

Bit of an update on this, having priced up the hybrid build, its going to cost another £500 just to build the engine and considering I'll only get 10 or so bhp on the setup that I'll have if I just drop the KR straight in and only a little bit more torque, its just not worth it, seeing as the engine I have just needs new plugs and little bit of oil then its good to go! Managed to locate a stainless manifold and mk1 16v conversion loom locally as well which is pretty sweet! :-D

Going to run it on the 8v box which should make it interesting, will hopefully be able to use a bit more of the power low down

Am still aiming to apply for indoors at UD, conversion will be done sometime after that but before Springfest

Cheers matey, will be pulling him out of hibernation at some point this month and hopefully get him on the rolling road at the end of the month before the 16v goes in, nice little send off for the 8v :-D

Looking at getting some made up Jake, don't know whether or not to get full ones made up or just small ones to cover the small hole in the centre?

This currently has a split fuel hose so won't see the road until after KR conversion, which is a shame as wanted to drive it to reminder myself what the 8v was like for a comparison! :-D

need another scirocco in my life, looks nice and tidy.
