Anyway has yours rotted around the rear lights? mine has and i'm still trying to work out how to fix it.

haha yeah, I'm slowly trying to get this on the road, just gotta change the engine as the engine died lol.

and mines not rotten around the lights.

nice .... what are you doing with the old engine?

not sure atm, may just strip it and keep hold of it.

bit of an update: new engine is soon to go back in, new suspension is on its way (gone for 60/40mm drop) and i am making an exhaust for it soon.

been awhile, so heres an update,

the new engine is in, got it running and mot'd then the carb has died, (anyone selling any?)

lowered the car 60mm/40mm got an ebay discount so paid £98 posted for brand new ta technix shocks and springs

also got my exhaust on (3.5" ansa backbox) also considering

making up a side exit.

got some new pics,

has smoked headlights and the eyebrow on.

its a proper ratter, got nice negative camber at the back too.

yeah was a bargin, but then again i have spent loads on it now lol.

how good was the one in port talbot?

was on 142k, had patches of filler in it and needed a few little odds and sods doing, alternator belt, backbox, etc - was riding high on a set of 15" 5 spoke alloys :-S had alot of potential tho...shame i didn't have the money for it tho

i like dirt !

nice to see another like my A reg mars coupe , apart from i`ve been adding dents . oh and mine was free , with free gt and bike carbs and no wealding , so far shes cost me brakes and gaskets in 30k . propper cheap motoring

Did you weld up all the rust spots?

yeah, welded up everything except the rear valence (used fibreglass filler for now) as i want to graft on some mk1 golf rear arches all round soon.

not much of an update really just a few pics from today

i know its been awhile, but i have an update.

had my car in the workshop over xmas and I've been busy working on the rear of the car

sneak preview:

this is just an idea of what it looks like (pic showing 8 1/2 J) and i will be running 13x8's

going to be rolling around in red oxide rear 1/4's for a while tho.

i will be doing the fronts over easter

and i also need a passenger front wing if anyone has any? (any colour)

i will also be putting up a sort of how to guide on the rears if anyone is intrested?
