its just a mk4 polo on 13's with some lowering lol

needs more poke, more tyre hidden and a tad of camber imo :)

totally agree with the with the non stance comments in here, my mk2 golf was lower than that on 13's with stretched tires and that didn't have stance. stance isn't about being low, its about having the perfect set up between tire size, ride height and offset of wheels all coming together to work perfectly with each other, if that makes sense?

perfect sense mate, all about the maths

Mine was lower on my winters, 15" solitudes, I scraped on all sorts of minor bumps and had the chassis sat on the driveshaft. You have to remember it doesn't really matter about the wheel size, its about the overall diameter including tyre, if you have 13x7s running 185/60 tyres for instance, you are no different to 15x7 on 195/45. Also, slightly off topic, I dont understand how people can come out with claims like -120mm on the front, when the driveshaft hits WELL before this. I couldn't even get to the bottom of my coilovers without it being sat on the driveshaft let alone take the helpers out, I may be missing something here - please explain if I am...

na as mines on the same wheels and mines slightly lower on front then yours and i dont have it

and i dont have it

awwww

some you win some you losse 1 day ill have it 1 day 8-)

Corrr duck me.

You stiffs complaining about stance, stop being so linear and basic, lighten up.

Car looks sick dude, keep it goingg, holllla.

its not hard to pull off realy, its weither u can be arsed driving it like that daily as its stupidly low

Only way you can run any lower is with 10mm lowering top caps, that's the only way I've thought up so it pushes the drive shafts back down which allows you to go lower on the coilies.

This being without a chassis notch that is.

good idea, didn't think of that. So basically most of these people saying they are >100mm down on a 6n (bar chassis notches or top caps) are estimating badly/lying.

My FKs were 15mm off the bottom with helpers still in and the driveshaft was getting properly carved on the flat, let alone bumpy bits. Off the top of my head my coilovers went to -120mm with the helpers out according to FK so it couldn't possibly have been more than -85mm below standard height.

Maybe people are measuring from the top of the thread on the shocker to get these numbers - the top of the thread isn't necessarily standard height and the bottom of the thread isn't necessarily the manufacturers stated max lowerage, the max figure usually includes taking the helpers out.

Again, unless i'm missing something or any of the above is wrong?

nearly ripped my wing of when i come of kerb. gonna go do some burnouts tonight to wear down tread to stop it rubbing. i shit you not! lol

goodbye gearbox lol get some camber on the front and a little bit more on the back , can get it lower :D

i had 3 degree's of camber on the front alone so it can be done :)

tbf 13s are far too small for a 6n to get good STANCE i think you need 15s on em any lower and your just gonna be laying frame and probs still have arch gap.

have a look at joshm`s 6n that sits awesome and has STANCE. You have to understand stance before you start claiming you have it just because its low it dosent mean it has stance.

JACKO.

mate you speak so much sense!! especially the 120mm. it annoys me so so much when someone asks how low they are and they always go '120mm all the way round' its just not true!! I'm 110 and everything hits. extra 10mm on my 6n2 and i wouldnt be able to drive it...

and that mk3 really is the definition of stance...cant actually get over how well it sits... nose down, the front mm from the deck..arches perfectly filled with the correct tyre size...perfection.

does he run this daily??? he would be my hero if he did 8-)

Technically, 'stance' somthing that every car has. Infact this desk I'm sat at has its own stance, good or bad.

If you ask me its just more bullshit made up by people who wish to brag about their car, because anyone can go low, so people are using 'stance' to turn it into some sort of artform that they can use to patronise other people with. IMHO that black mk3 golf looks terrible, the wheels are too big for it and its too low at the front, makes it look like a door wedge. But thats 'stance' for you.

The key is, does it look good?

I think it does. And personally, I think that being nice and low on small wheels is a stance that I like.

yep the wheels are too big and its too low at the front

its not hard to pull off realy, its weither u can be arsed driving it like that daily as its stupidly low

its alot harder than you think. choosing the right wheels, offsets, tyres, spacers, arch work, height. it really annoys me when people say its easy. all the mentioned things take time & money and careful choices. i can guarantee you the best stanced cars have had alot more thought & effort put in than just getting lucky by putting on some new wheels and making it low

not to mention spending hours with bloody c spanners...

& its the slackness of people on here like you that make this sight so annoying full of shite.

why tell someone their car has stance or looks so nice if it clearly isnt? I'm actually beginning to prefer edition for that reason, people say it how it is which raises the standard of the cars on there. for example the other stance thread that was on here a while ago. an absolute joke with people posting up almost standard cars asking if it has stance? just got boring and quite frankly embarrassing, if someone came on to this club to read they would think what a load of shit.

i now I'm gunna get rinsed but i dont care, only saying it how it is.

& btw I'm not saying the original posters car is shit etc, its a very nice car with some cool ideas, just not there yet which I'm sure he knows. that sort of comment is more useful than lying lol

not to mention spending hours with bloody c spanners...

word

wheel off c spanner wheel on test drive, wheel off c spanner wheel on test drive etc........................

agree dude editions the only forum i use tbh, for the exact same reasons as youve put up

JACKO.

thats just it. no one here is thinking your car is bad or anything mate. i like it alot.. just for me it doesnt have stance yet... thats all people are saying here. i think somewhere in this thread that has been forgotten about!lol

keep up the work dude :)

please dont even mention that routine to me. you know how much i adjust my coilies... have spent many wkends doing that. still cant get it right

Edited by wellse6n2

Tommo32's right, EVERYTHING has stance, just depends on whether its good or not.

what knob jockey brought that word into the modifying world anyway, everywhere you go its 'i've got stance, omg look at my stance, my mums got stance'

i dont understand how people can run around saying they've got something that nobody can actually give a definition to :retard:
