reg Renault Laguna 16v RT Sport S/R A/C FOR SALE!

Approx. 115k miles

1.8 16v (30-45MPG, surprised me, works out about the same as a mk2 8v Golf day to day!)

Tax end of Jan

MOT mid April

Electric Sunroof

Electric front windows

Air-con (barely works, needs regassed)

Power Steering

ABS (inoperative due to the cable to the rear being cut somehow, hangs under the car ans has done since I got it- not got round to reconnecting it)

Central Locking (drivers lock trigger thing is broke so you need to press the button in the car to lock it then use the key to lock the drivers door manually)

Fully adjustable driver seat

Adjustable Steering column

Armrest- amazing how this alone makes me drive like an old man

Alloy wheels (negotiable price reduction if you don't want them as a bloke at work is after them!)

I got this as a cheap runaround in May or thereabouts. It was only meant to last about a month but it's surprised me and carried on going. I'm not gonna lie it's not an oil painting (actually it's pretty damn shiny when it's washed, I've only cleaned it twice, lol). I've not looked after it and generally abused it (although I've rarely thrashed it due to worrying about snapping the cambelt- read on!). There's no rust, can't remember why but they did something to this mark Laguna so they don't, probably galvanised panels or plastic or something, perhaps they're ali, who cares it's a cheap motor with no corrosion issues!

Bad points/ Broken bits/ stuff that wants fixed:

-Central locking, as above

-ABS, as above

-NSR tyre on the alloys is borderline, I can stick the spare on though or swap the tyre on the spare with the alloy at work FOC.

-Needs front disks and pads, disks at the very least, they judder and have done since I got it

-NSR Wheel bearing is howling, started about 3k miles ago (about 3 months) Not near the point of collapse yet though!

-Gearbox moans a bit, no problems with gears, etc just whines lightly and has done for approx 1month/ 1k miles.

-Cambelt is overdue, it's not got a quick pop-off cover so I can't be arsed to look at it, unknown state/condition- hence me not thrashing it!

-Possibly an engine mount worn as the gearstick rocks a little, I don't know if it's just mild cheese engine mounts as it's French though, lol.

-Service overdue (both the Serv. light has been on and the STOP light since I got it, STOP being from the ABS cable chopped I suspect, Serv. from the service indicator not being reset or its just not been serviced)

-IT HAS NO FAULT CODES IN ITS MEMORY OTHER THAN "NO SIGNAL FROM REAR ABS". Hence my reasoning for the STOP warning being related as if it was anything else it'd tell me in the ol' brain scan tool!

-Petrol Flap cover fell off as i was closing it with 1 finger (French build quality I guess!) I found it hilarious, as did the bloke on the petrol pump opposite, lol. Still got it.

-Needs a valet inside as I've smoked in it most nights for a few hrs, so may smell like a Dutch Coffeeshop But I can always clean it up a bit, don't really see the point for the money though!

-No parcel shelf

£300 ono. Negotiable if no wheels needed (-£100 basically)

The book price for this car is 5-900 believe it or not (I was shocked). If you did all the work on it, parts'd be less than £200 (I think it came to £158 when I looked into it a couple months back). It is actually a pretty good car too, even if I do take the pizzle out of it!
