5 Speed gearbox (originally 4)

De Bump-stripped

Mk1 golf clocks (original speedo, fuel guage and oil temp guage kept)

Spotlights

Lowered 60/50

Uprated twin horn

German Rear nearside light (removes white reverse light)

Everything except bonnet and roof resprayed

Also as standard as an lx it has:

3 spoke 'sports' steering wheel

coupe s style striped seats (bigger bolsters)

Plans in the works ATM:

new steels (on the lookout, thinking 14x5.5/6)

Powerflex bushes

Stage one chassis brace kit

Weber conversion

4-2-1 mani and custom pipe

plans and current mods sound spot one, gott get me one of them german rears

I'm also after some wider steels, probs get some gt steels and hide them under the arches eventually

i have my mk1 as my pride and joy, so this is just a daily that will get alot of money spent on it as the mk1 needs no money to be spent :)

I'm looking into the weber conversion atm, seems to be a definate thing to do on these mk2, the carb is rubbish!!! my mk1 is amazing!! plus manual chokes are alot better, that will be my project over the winter break :)

Yeh the pierburgs have a real bad rep! tbh mine has been alright, but just want the reliability and quality of the weber, my pierburg has odd moments and funny spells!

As for the steels I've heard that even going from a 4.5 to a 5.5 makes it handle so much better! thats the trouble with the squares, rear arches are a bitch to get any decent wheels in!

shall try and get snaps 2moz, its nowt special, but tis gonna be uber cool :)

my bready futher up the page is running gt steels on 165/60 tyres and there isnt any clearance issues so it should be ok,
