yup the tube bits on ital job were shot in the same bit of pipe

i thought those bits of the italian job were filmed in coventry not belfast?

i think thats why he did that bit, because he was near those pipes...still loooked funny when he flipped it though =]

The chase sequences were entirely filmed in Turin, although the scene where the robbers' Minis are chased through a sewer tunnel were filmed in the Sowe Valley Sewer Duplication system in the English city of Coventry

the jail scenes were filmed in a Belfast jail, not the chase scenes. so that wasn't the tunnel from the Italian job, unless that part of top gear was filmed in Coventry ;)

My apologies as i have it wrong, doesn't happen often, but the tunnel used was indeed Coventry. Well, near there anyway - a brand new and unused stretch of pipe in Stoke Aldermoor.

They tried to do it again, this time on camera, but it proved impossible for some reason.

How the hell do they get away with trashing new cars haha they must have to pay for it??

EDIT there is gonna be a christmas spesh aswell :D can't wait

It's a 58 plate Twingo, so it wil have been on the press fleet for a year or so. It'll already have earned its keep being shipped out to various different mags, so it's not expensive for Renault to sacrifice for a large segment on a programme like TG. Even if it was box fresh cars aren't worth much at cost, so they can write it off as promotional spending. Like the Megane they crashed a few years back.

Ahh sorted ;)

I thought this was fecking awesome!

Bad thing, I once again NEED a landrover

That road when clarkson was going past that white car.. :o

But the thing that was bugging me the most.. I really want to see what the camera crew where driving. Got to be a 90 or 110 fully kitted up or something along those amazing lines.

Epic episode, a classic, plus I love lifted trucks the landcruiser just ended up looking like a jeep wrangler to me though :?

The Bolivian death road is mental http://www.ssqq.com/archive/vinlin27b.htm

awesome!

brilliant episode.

awesomeness

Fantastic episode, some real heart in mouth moments

passing on that "death road" with the white landcruiser i think it was

pure nuts.

Great episode.

Dam insane that was!

I was thinking dude fuck that i'd just be like "ohh no I'm parking against this wall you can go around cliffface edge"

Mehh, Hammond ruided it by pusing his car down the dune!

pthyer than that, It was gooood :),

On that overtaking bit on the death road I was just like grind along the White car I insurance premium > death tbh

Mehh, Hammond ruided it by pusing his car down the dune!

pthyer than that, It was gooood :),

+1

Oh and the fact that they didnt seem to realise that you can pull yourself out with your own winch, you dont have to suffer a shameful rescue from another vehicles winch.

That bridge they supposedly had to make... If clarkson had driven down the hill straight and not cross axled it at the bottom, then he could have just winched himself up the other side!

Oh and whats with the excuses with james' SJ, being 3 wheel drive???? The 4WD system looked to be working fine to me.

Sorry but I'm going to be boring, I think the last couple of series have been setup rubbish! The early ones were best when they didn't know how funny they were, now its so pre-scripted like they're not confident in their own funnyness :?

I've said it now... I'll move along :-D

Haha, some of the things they did where just funny. But I guess they have no experience of it (other than Hammond)

I know id have had that bit of flexi pipe straight away and got a snorkel made up. Surprised they didn't actually.

May falling over getting onto the raft had me in stitches too

I know what you mean. Its not helped by the fact that they are such rediculously bad actors too.

Bloody funny as IMO.

I'm actually surprised the shitboxes they brought worked (well, hamsters didn't to begin with).

The slope they drove down at the end looked mental as. I wanna have a go!!
