you and another driver nearly had a colision in a car park,it was a close call but no impact occured.you and the other driver gestured to eachother that all was ok and you continued with your journey,thats it..so dont worry

if there was cctv they will see the other drivers car was unlit to mot standards

if it got to that stage go for Defamation of character lol :-)

the missus went to work, park her car on the car park as usual.....finished work and someone had reversed into her car cracking the bumper and leaving a HUGE dent in the bonnet!!!

we got the vidio from the cctv, copyed it onto a cd and took it to the cop shop, they did nothing about it at all! they are total waste of tax payers money!!!

I hate all these tosspots who drive about with a defective headlight. Its bloody illegal and its not as though you wouldnt bloody notice you can only see half the road.

well you left a statement with the cop shop, so thats a good start really.

if the other guy is really that bothered then I'm sure some way or another, they will link up his complaint with you and then get in contact. at least it shows you have made an effort.

i would say the chances are that he isn't going to bother pursuing it and has just written you off as one of those twats in life who screws you over when you least expect it. if he does, at least you have something to show that you did regret doing it and deep down you are sorry. if police do get involved, just play the 'i panicked' card really well, tell him you are so sorry hence leaving a police statement, offer to pay for damage and then hopefully he wont even want to bother pressing charges.

I doubt he would though as if your damage is barely visible, i cant see his being any worse.
