This was mine. It was a BMW E36 318IS Coupe. !.8 16v with 143bhp. I bought it when i was 16 and i done a few things to it. Checked for insurance and it was sky high.lol so i had to sell it.

Surely you knew you wouldn't be able to afford to insure it when you bought it?

Yeh i knew it would have been expensive and i could have ran it but my dad decided it would be best to sell as with it being very wet here in scotland and it being rear wheel drive with no LSD and being a new drive = Not a good idea, but i got it for a good price with no MOT or Tax. so i taxed and MOT'd it and sold it for near 3x as much.

this was mine, bought it for £200 and did EVERYTHING on a tight budget. it was fubarred when i got it, breather pipes clogged, rusty as fuck underneath. my dad welded it up. it was on 107000 when i got it, it reads 148000 now and i nothing ever went wrong with it.1.2 8v, got 110 out of it on a private road (yuh), a mate could never get his over 100. it was a beast, called it the big red machine (BRM)! loved it, wanted to redtop it, but it never happened. it was lower than this pic when i'd finished with it, and was sitting on cav slabs, but i'd always wanted a polo, so i got the corsa mot'd then bought the valver, and the corsa has sat still ever since, its fucked now, scrap mans gotta have it soon. shame really, but i was a student, and polo's are cooler.

Hehe, I never planned to convert it, but I got attached to the car and it had all the right bits. Figured it would be easier to start with a known good shell and find a suitable engine for it. GT engine left the engine bay in 2005.

It's got the lot though, bar the interior and the log book it's full G40 spec (and then some) so I'm not bothered it's not a genuine G40. :)
