mk1 Golf Rivage

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Posting this up for a fellow dubber friend who is not on this forum.

much looked after rivage during his ownership.

Unfortunately he is not after a swap or P/x.....You might be able persuade him with something interesting!

here is the info taken from his ad:

This has been done in the last six months:

Full Service

New Exhaust Gasket

New Exhaust Hangers

New Shocks & Springs all round (standard)

New Front Tyres with good rears also

New Anti-Roll Bar Bushes

New Wishbones

New Carpet in Black

New Caliper Slider Kit

New Foam Roof Seal Gaskets

New Seat Sliders (no wobbly seats here!)

New Engine Mounts

New Discs

New Pads

New Drums & Shoes

New Rear Bearings

New Battery

And just about to have another FULL winter service and new MOT whether it's sold or not!

It's an all standard (apart from new carpet and finish on wheels) 1992 Rivage with:

99K Miles with FSH

Tax until May 2010

MOT until May 2010 (soon to be 12 months)

Heated leather

Power hood

CAT 1 alarm/immobiliser with central locking (receipt included)

Working MFA

LOADS of bills (just over ?2,000 has been spent in just under six months I've had it!)

4 previous owners

VERY little rust (just on the drivers sill, very small blisters) but 100% solid elsewhere

Good paint (although the paintwork obviously isn't perfect)

Rear headrests

Roof was replaced just over 18 months ago with bill to prove

I also have a roof cover in matching blue but the poppers need putting on. I think it was brand new with the roof but never used?! Oh and there's a half hide of cream leather should you want to replace/repair any areas on the seats (nothing needs to be done yet, but nice to have). Not sure there's much more to say? Fantastic car all round.

I want what I believe it's worth - ?3,500. Like I said, it's a fantastic car and I've spent over ?2,000 improving it even more in just under six months! PM me if interested or to make me a sensible offer.

I'm confident that there aren't many left in this condition. It's been a pleasure owning the Rivage, but I really don't like using it daily and putting more and more miles on the poor thing is such a shame, however I won't take silly offers and am in no rush to sell, so please consider this when contacting me.
