Ooof!

what paint did you use to paint the rocker cover black mate?

thanks Yasser

hi mate,

i sanded it down and then coated it over and over with black satin high temp heat paint used for BBQ's etc and then used a red touch up to do the writing etc.

the paint has been chipped off on the left hand side and under the DOHC 16v because when fitting my new rocker cover gasket i had it laid face down whilst trying to remove the old gasket so it chipped off on the corner of the table. :S

Hope this helps mate. :)

woooo amazing work

Who cares if it's done by someone else anyway? Saved him a lot of hassle and probably cheaper if he bought it already in the car... win win IMO

I think i've made it look a fair bit different now.

Lost the chav shit "Race Spec" leads and replaced them with OEM ones

Replaced the plastic BOV with a Forge Motorsport Split-R (Polished that, as the original finish still had milling marks)

Replaced the "Carbon" oil cap with a decent metal one

Replaced all the other caps in the bay with new VW ones

Replaced the PAS bottle cap with one from Forge Motorsport

Thats not to mention half of the mechanical work i've had to do on the car to get it up to scratch.

New plugs, leads, coilpack, crank position sensor, coolant temperature sensor, new pads all round, clutch pedal repaired and strengthened, gear linkages sorted, new sump, new vac line for the brake servos in the boot, new boost pipe clips, new gearbox dogbone mount and new top mounts and track rod ends. I've probably forgot something tbh.

So before you go mouthing off saying i've done nothing, it might be an idea to get your facts straight?

owned

you put your brake servo in the boot panda?

there are two servo's in the boot. I'm not a fan of that setup tbh, but it works. I may go for a servoless setup though with a rally pedal box.

my polo, cant find the original photo?
